Moradia Pargo Portugal
Holiday Home Rental Description
Set within the tranquil and rural surroundings of Ponta do Pargo in a quiet, family-friendly neighbourhood, Moradia Pargo is a wonderfully charming yet modern property with storybook looks and stylish, high-end amenities. Accommodating up to four guests across two double bedrooms, the villa is ideal for couples holidaying together and features everything you’ll need to enjoy a relaxing and memorable holiday you’ll treasure forever.
Moradia Pargo has a spacious open-plan layout on the ground floor, with a light, neutral decor throughout that incorporates cool, grey tiled flooring, white-washed walls and furnishings in soft, natural shades. The lounge area features a comfortable sofa, cosy armchair and stylish coffee table, as well as a large flat screen TV; an ideal area for relaxing with friends or family at the end of a busy day. The dining area offers ample space for guests to enjoy home-cooked meals together – all rustled up in the villa’s magnificent kitchen, which is complete with glossy grey units and countertops and bursting with high-quality appliances such as an integrated oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, crockery, utensils and cookware.
Ascending the villa’s wooden staircase, you’ll discover Moradia Pargo’s bedrooms, both of which are decorated to the same high standard as the villa’s common areas, with light decor, wooden floors and stunning rural views, as well as sumptuously comfortable beds that promise a restful night’s sleep. The villa has a spacious shower room, elegantly decorated in black and white tiles and featuring modern fixtures, as well as a ground floor WC for extra convenience.
Moradia Pargo features a beautiful outdoor space with a pretty walled garden, accessible from the living area through large double doors. There is a raised decked terrace furnished with good quality furniture, including seats, a table and a parasol – an ideal spot to enjoy a morning cuppa or leisurely breakfast, all surrounded by a flowery and aromatic garden. The villa also benefits from a private pool, which includes ‘chill-out’ seating, offering guests the perfect place to cool off from the sun while soaking up their glorious surroundings in this little slice of paradise. Moradia Pargo is ideally located for holidaymakers who want to make the most of the great outdoors, with several well-maintained walking trails through forests and lush landscapes right on your doorstep – suitable for all ages and abilities. Within walking distance of the villa, you’ll find handy amenities such as bars, restaurants, shops and banks, making it easy to enjoy your stay without having to travel too far from ‘home’, and there are plenty of exciting activities available in the immediate area including cruises, jeep and buggy tours, and paragliding.
For those who want to travel a little further afield to explore more of the island, Calheta’s marina and sandy beach are just a fifteen-minute drive from the villa. The town’s famous harbour promenade has much to offer in the way of restaurants, attractions and shopping opportunities and is also a hotspot for those who love all manner of outdoor pursuits, including surfing, kayaking, windsurfing, scuba diving and paragliding. Calheta is also one of the most fantastic spots on the island for whale and dolphin-spotting, and you’ll find plenty of places offering whale-watching tours, fishing tours and boat trips along the marina.
The beach at Calheta is one of the only sandy beaches on the island, and this large, beautiful, man-made beach can get fairly crowded in the summer months, largely down to its soft sands and easy accessibility. You’re sure to enjoy the family-friendly vibe here, where children can paddle and swim in safety thanks to the barrier that creates an enclosed swimming area and prevents the larger waves from spoiling the fun! There are some great amenities available, including ample parking, parasol hire, grocery stores and a fantastic beachside cafe that serves fruit platters and great coffee at very reasonable prices. The cafe plays music during the day and even has WiFi that reaches down to the beach, so be sure to get the password when you’re in there buying refreshments!
History and art lovers will enjoy a visit to Calheta’s Mudas Museum, which houses a stunning collection of contemporary Portuguese art dating from the 1960s to the present. Another small yet interesting museum that is well worth a visit while you’re here is the Sugar Cane Mill and museum – especially as entry is free! The museum houses machinery that was once used to process sugar cane, as well as a working mill which is still used to produce sugar cane honey today.
