Inside, there is an elegant and contemporary feel to the whole property. Furnished to a high standard, every corner of this beautiful villa welcomes you in, creating a completely relaxing atmosphere. On the ground floor, one of the highlights of this contemporary villa has to be the spacious, open-plan living area. With glass doors out to a balcony and beautiful sea views, this spacious room is flooded with light, bringing the outdoors in. There is a stylish kitchen fully equipped for your use, so the whole family can gather and help as the nominated chef takes the reigns! The dining table is great for entertaining when you want to bring the whole group together, and the lounge is arranged around a television, so you can put your feet up and relax after busy days exploring. The south-facing balcony captures the most beautiful sunsets, making every evening truly magical in this laid-back villa.
There are three spacious bedrooms, all on the first floor. They all have air-conditioning and electric blinds. The Master boasts an en-suite shower room and shares a beautiful balcony with the second bedroom. There is a modern family bathroom shared between the second and third bedrooms. On the lower floor is a garage and games room with ping-pong, darts and table games, and an added guest toilet and laundry area.
Outside, there are two main areas, with the fantastic pool terrace sitting in view of the ocean and an intimate outdoor kitchen with a Madeira-style built-in barbecue and dining area in a tranquil, private spot behind the house. Madalena do Mar is a small village located on the southwest coast of Madeira with beautiful sea and cliff views. The charm and character of the fishing village are alluring, with a beautiful promenade along the pebble beach and several restaurants for lazy lunches or evenings out. The location and warm climate have helped it to establish the biggest banana plantations on the island, so make sure you try some of the local fruit!

Popular with tourists and locals alike, the marina is alive with activity, and there are plenty of choices when it comes to bars and restaurants, so you can keep yourselves fuelled for a day on the beach. Easily reached within a fifteen-minute drive of the villa, the hardest decision is always beach or pool?! Calheta is also famous for producing the best white rum ‘Aguadente’, a special ingredient of the typical Madeiran drink ‘Poncha’. If you fancy an alternative experience during your stay and are interested in knowing how the white rum is made, we recommend a tour of the ‘Engenho da Calheta’ the rum distillery where you can wander around and sample the produce.
