Loule Castle is based around 10 minutes away from the villa.  Igreja de Sao Lourenco is a pivotal white-washed church that was first crafted in the 17th century. Inside, this church is packed full of azulejos, which are hand-painted tiles that work to depict key events throughout Portugal’s history. Some of these tiles date all the way back to 1730 and have been crafted by the acclaimed artist Policarpo de Oliveira Bernardes.
