Xhale Saint Lucia

Luxury Villas
| 4 Bedrooms|

Rental Description

Xhale is a slick, contemporary home offering strikingly innovative interiors, edgy architecture and designer verve, set within St Lucia’s most exclusive gated developments. Set on the northern tip of the island, the Cap Estate, formerly a thriving sugar plantation, is today a well-heeled corner of seclusion, style and well-heeled living.
Executed with mind-body rejuvenation in mind, flawless attention detail marries with state-of-the-art fixtures and discreet staff presence (including night time security.) A prestigious home, offering a little extra at every turn.
This cutting-edge home is cradled in the dramatic cliff face looking out onto the meeting point where the Atlantic Ocean plays with the Caribbean Sea. Xhale, stands regally, yet discreetly, within a forest-dense spot whilst being a short distance to the pulsating hot-spots and glittering sights of Rodney Bay. This home offers “upside down” living, with four impeccable bedrooms on the lower floor, each of these with its own en-suite and private balcony. Rising like a design masterpiece from the thicket of surrounding forest, guests will immediately get that heart-quickening “wow factor.”
From the serenity of the lower bedroom level to the the sleek upper living level, Xhale is finished with an indulgent wrap-around terrace with communal spaces for gathering by the fire pit and Piston lager at night, or lounging next to the sparkling infinity pool by day. The living spaces offer a sublime blend of understated luxury and nods to local style with use of natural timbers, local stone, artefacts and tropical indoor plants. A striking full-length exposed stone internal wall enhances the natural feel to this decadent home. Offering a semi-mezzanine effect, this vertical stone expanse is offset by stunning white-on-white spaces.
Sedate lighting illuminates the airy, open-plan living spaces, finished with soft dove greys, accents of vivid red and informal group dining space for eight. At every turn, natural daylight floods this calm space; innovative window designs, sky lights, atrium roofs and floor-to-ceiling glass provide an impeccable blend between indoor and outdoor living. The open-plan kitchen is a sensuous affair of granite, marble and matte-finish, dark stained timber, whilst access to quiet corners, a charming writer’s desk or the ultra low-key lounge space offer sociable living alongside separate spaces.
Xhale offers guests a note of grown-up glamour; suitable for a party of eight over the age of sixteen, this home is full of surprising extras; private gym with sea-scape views, fragrant yoga deck within tropical seclusion – even the bathrooms deserve a mention for their stand-alone, rock-star tubs and full length glass with views across forest canopy to glistening oceans.
The bedrooms are serene, chic and airy spaces to retreat from the bustle and high-octane St Lucian life; in keeping with the rejuvenating tone of this home Xhale offers guests supreme privacy, security and on-hand services. The quality of finishes at Xhale are peerless, whilst luxury is played out in a subtle and playful way – hanging lights, Scandinavian style minimalism and accents of art, colour and plant-life create something rather magical.
Xhale offers effortless style, without being showy: an achingly cool party pad with experimental architecture, that is also home-like and honours the natural heritage surrounding it. St Lucia, believed to be discovered by Christopher Columbus, is 27 miles long by 15 miles wide, set at the meeting point between the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, between Martinique and St Vincent. This verdant and luscious island, in contrast to its neighbours, is 77% forest (Barbados is only 19%), meaning this ‘emerald’ island offers peerless flora and fauna, intriguing rainforest life, rare wildlife as well as the quintessential Caribbean beach culture. From dramatic 50 ft waterfalls deep in the forest, with sightings of rare and colourful birds to the iconic and star-studded Sugar Beach, this is a land of extreme natural beauty and contrasts. From volcanic springs, to the famous Pitons (distinctive twin peaks), to local creole village life, St Lucia is a dazzling blend of natural beauty and hedonistic luxury!
Xhale is set within one of the island’s most exclusive developments – the Cap Estate, on the northern tip, which was developed to offer luxury accommodation on the doorstep of the island’s most prestigious golf course (as well as being the only 18 hole course.) Just a short distance to the bustling tourist centre of Rodney Bay, this elite position is within ease access of the mile-long Reduit beach. Rodney Bay offers glittering nightlife, casinos and up-market dining, whilst the St Lucian Jazz Festival takes place close by annually; from carnivals to flower festivals, St Lucians love to party!
The Pitons (two distinctive volcanic peaks) are an immediately recognisable site; visitors will bathe in volcanic pools, or scale the Gros Piton with a local village guide. When it comes to adrenaline-fix activities, and water sports, St Lucia is hard to beat. From smart harbours with chartered yachts, informal catamaran tours with flowing rum cocktails and whale-watching trips, to jet-skiing in the ocean at dawn, or zip-wiring at speed through dense forest canopy, this island has it covered. Post-card worthy waterfalls, tropical plant-life or a day spend grinding cocoa beans into chocolate or step into the plantation history of the island, this is a place of endless discovery.
The cuisine hints at Creole and French along with a Caribbean undertone; bananas are ripe on the trees, fried plantain and shell fish feature heavily, as well as fish soups, or the national dish ‘green figs’ (unripe bananas) and salt fish; the latter can be washed down nicely with a Piton lager or Caribbean rum cocktail.
The southwest coast is simply majestic; there is great potential for snorkelling or scuba diving. Among our pick would be an intriguing night dive to see mystical coral formations, mysterious sunken ships and tropical sea life such as octopus, rainbow parrot fish and sea turtles when they come out to play.
