Villa Caliente is a charming, relaxed villa, located in the quiet estate of Aiguea Gelida, only 1.5km from the beach of Tamariu. Boasting spectacular views over the sea, the villa is a fabulous base from which you can enjoy this lovely, peaceful area.
The villa has a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere throughout, with four, good-sized twin-bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living areas are bright and airy, with large glass windows and door allowing light to flood in, enlivening the space, whilst also offering views out towards the pool and the sea. The living/dining room is ideal for socialising as a group, with plenty of comfortable seating and a cosy fireplace creating a relaxed ambience.
The kitchen is fully equipped for your use, so you can make up some tasty picnics to carry down to the beach, or whip up a family feast to enjoy on the terrace. Sitting outside on the sunny terrace, gives that Spanish, summer feeling, gazing out to the horizon on the sea, it is hard not to feel at ease and relaxed.
The villa is surrounded by a garden and terrace, with a desirable private swimming pool, there is everything you might need to enjoy a special holiday away in the sunshine. The laid-back atmosphere of the villa, makes it feel like a home away from home, somewhere you can really settle into during your stay. There are restaurants and shops all within walking distance, ideal for families with children, as you can escape the fuss of driving. Whatever you’re picturing, it’s even better. Tamariu is a truely delightful seaside village, and its beach is considered one of the best on the Costa Brava.
This small crescent-shaped beach, surrounded by pine clad headlands, is wonderfully sandy, and blessed with translucent waters. Originally a fishing village, Tamariu has retained much of its charm and identity, due to the nature of its rather rugged, but beautiful coastline, and the challenging journey for those navigating the narrow hillside roads. And, thank goodness for that, as what we are left with is an utterly charming stretch of coast occupied by like-minded discerning tourists who respect the local countryside, and embrace the traditional restaurants and tapas bars found in this gem of a village.
There are welcome additions too; a popular promenade, a couple of well-stocked mini-markets and great waterfront restaurants. this is one special place to enjoy a family meal; just soak up the atmosphere as dusk falls.
Or, you could head out to the little medieval town of Begur, just 1.5km away. Well, worth the visit, this delightful town with its narrow streets and crumbling buildings make for a great day trip, or the perfect venue for a sublime supper.
