Just along the coast from Marbella (around 8km away), this villa is more than big enough for a family gathering or group get-together. The beach is on your doorstep – just a few minutes’ walk away – and a couple of professional golf courses are also on offer in the area. Within walking distance, you’ve also got restaurants, cafes, bars and a supermarket.
The villa may be modern, but there are some rustic, Andalusian-style touches that keep things feeling down to earth. The long shaded picnic table on the terrace, the living room with its high wooden ceiling, and the wood-banistered balconies on the first and second floors, for example. At the centre of the garden, you’ve got an inviting swimming pool lined with loungers and an outdoor shower to wash sandy feet straight from the beach. Through an archway, the barbecue area awaits the grill master of the group.
Inside, tiled floors and wooden ceilings add that traditional air and there are three living rooms and seating areas for the group to spread out. The dining room is illuminated by a candelabra and the dine-in kitchen has a country feel to it. Bedrooms are quirkily decorated, and some on the first and second floors have sea views and direct access to balconies. We particularly enjoy the hand-painted forest scene in one of the twin rooms – perfect for kids or adults with a little imagination.
