Villa Neta Spain
Holiday Home Rental Description
Villa Neta is a six-bedroom, four-bathroom villa in a quiet cul-de-sac near Alcudia, Mallorca. The house reflects the exquisite natural beauty surrounding the area, and touches of the elements can be found in its chic design. The large windows give a fresh and airy atmosphere, with stone, tile and wood decorating the interior. Both tiled and wooden flooring runs throughout the house, and guests love to bask in the hours of sunlight which streams into the rooms.
Making your way into the house, you’ll find the cosy living room with three couches and a flat-screen television. A spacious dining area can seat eight people and is next to large French doors, which allow the warm Spanish air to stream through the house.
The natural features flow through to the well-equipped kitchen, which boasts marble-esque countertops and a Nespresso machine. Prepare your locally bought market produce at the counter, then head out to eat on the large terrace, where you’ll be rewarded with views of the surrounding greenery.
The villa has six bedrooms, each one decorated with crisp white walls and touches of solid timber found in the windows, doors and floors. Four of the bedrooms have large and spacious double beds, while the remaining two bedrooms are single twin rooms.
Guests are spoiled for choice when it comes to outside rest and relaxation, as the villa boasts terraces on both the ground and the first floor. Choose from several areas to kick back and unwind. If you’re in the mood to dip in and out of the private pool, there’s the outdoor lounging area with sofas surrounding the blue water. The pool area is a highlight for guests and is decorated with deep blue tiles and white stone and is surrounded by native flora which grows on the grounds. There’s also an outdoor dining area with tables and chairs where guests can eat al fresco and some smaller coffee tables and chairs, which are perfect for enjoying a cup of java as the sun comes up. Up on the first floor, a terrace adjoins the property with a dining area and a lounging space complete with sofas.
Air conditioning is available throughout the villa, but with the soft Spanish breeze coming through the windows and the unique microclimate, you’re sure to be living in full comfort.
The cherry on the cake is the ping pong table, basketball hoop, footsie and other games, which are guaranteed to keep little ones entertained for hours.Nestled on the northeast coast of Mallorca, the port and holiday resort of Alcudia should be on everyone’s wish list, thanks to its winning combination of a soft sandy beach and a historic old town.
Those wanting to immerse themselves in authentic Spanish life can head to the famous open-air market, held every Tuesday and Sunday. The market has two sections: one is the farmers market which sells produce grown on the island, and the other section is dedicated to clothes, crafts, jewellery, and souvenirs, making it an essential stop to pick up gifts for those back home.
Alcúdia is also home to Spain’s smallest Roman amphitheatre, which sits a twenty-minute walk from the town centre, and history enthusiasts can find more historical treasures dotting the town in the form of 15th, 16th and 17th-century Renaissance and Rococo palaces.
A ten-minute drive away is Port d’Alcúdia, a popular resort town which at high season, bustles with people who come to seek fun and enjoy the restaurants, beaches and activities that the port has to offer. The main beach is Playa d’Alcúdia which has received the much coveted European Blue Flag for its clean waters. Being very family-friendly, the beach has excellent facilities, including showers, toilets, and changing areas. There’s also a children’s play area, gym equipment, and for those wanting to get out on the water, there’s a huge range of water sports. Kayaks, paddle boats, and stand-up paddle boards are all on offer. Those wanting something in the way of relaxation can rent lounge chairs and beach umbrellas for the day.
A fifteen-minute drive away is Pollença. An ancient town steeped in a rich history which can be discovered at every turn of its narrow and pretty streets. The ‘Pont Romà’ two-arched bridge dating back to Roman days continues to be a draw for visitors.
The town centre houses the 18th-century Mare de Deu dels Angels church, which has a beautiful rose window. The church is a fine starting point for learning about the fascinating history of the town itself, which dates back to the time of the Knights Templar. The centre beautifully mixes history and tradition with leisure; visit on a Sunday morning, and you’ll find the square lined with market stalls and local Mallorcans relaxing with a coffee after church.
