Dream Home Spain
Holiday Home Rental Description
Dream House certainly lives up to its name. With intricate detailing, immense character and beautiful surroundings, Dream Home is just dreamy. Situated in Altea, Spain’s answer to Santorini, guests enjoy romantic strolls though gorgeous cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses, crafts shops, artist’s workshops and atmospheric bars and restaurants. Altea boasts six kilometres of beaches brimming with idyllic pint-sized coves and dramatic cliffs. Altea is also a town that hosts some amazing fiestas and celebrations, all against a monumental backdrop of Sierra de Bernia. You will bowled over by its verdant views and stretching valleys. Though the resort is tranquil and nothing like its vibrant neighbour Benidorm, there is everything here, from the colourful fisherman’s quarter, to the crowded promenade and its towering Church of the Virgin of Consuelo which sits on the top of a hill. Altea brings culture, cuisine, views and stunning beaches to the table. If you want to up the ante a little, you can get to the lively Benidorm in less than twenty minutes. Otherwise, to explore the area further, you can head to Calpe, Moraira, Javea or the astonishing Jalon valley with its beautiful flowering almond trees.
Dream Home offers sensational, characterful living space, three heavenly bedrooms, two bathrooms and gorgeous outside space. The villa boasts a beautiful garden, a gorgeous swimming pool and fabulous panoramic views of the mountains. Your holiday dreams really will come true when booking this villa.
The architecture of Dream Home will make you smile. It is stunning and very interesting. Some of the villa is single storey and some with two floors. The porch offers shade and the painted stonework is warm and welcoming. The living space is open in design but with arches and features between the different areas. With gorgeous natural tones and ceilings covered in charming beams, the detailing is seriously impressive. Sumptuous sofas and chairs sit close to an intricately carved cabinet that is home to the large television and another feature wooden display cabinet. From here there are also fabulous views of the pool, terrace and garden. Next comes a sophisticated dining area followed by a chef’s dream of a kitchen with its exceptional appliances and smart cabinetry.
The bedrooms enjoy sumptuous kingsize beds, one with access to the terrace and another with access to a balcony with the most amazing, far reaching views. Again, with neutral hues and handpicked accessories, they are gorgeous havens. Guests share two beautifully maintained bathrooms.
The raised terrace is absolutely fabulous with exquisite lounge and alfresco dining furniture, all perfectly placed to enjoy the sensational garden and mountain views. On the lower level, guests can laze on deluxe loungers enjoying the sunshine and take a dip in the gorgeous swimming pool. The manicured garden is a total delight with mature Mediterranean plants and trees. It circles the villa and is absolutely stunning. One thing is certain, you will not want to leave the magical Dream Home. Dream House is located in a very peaceful area of Altea, a beautiful village north of Alicante and Benidorm. The villa is just a few minutes drive from the beach and the main boulevard of Altea. The picturesque Old Altea boasts beautiful bougainvillea draped cobblestone streets, a stunning church, authentic whitewashed houses and unique shops selling crafts and brilliant souvenirs. You will return home with handmade pottery and jewellery and maybe even some authentic artwork. With tiny coves, traditional feasts on the waterfront and a harbour brimming with fishing boats, Altea is a beautiful sight to see. Holidays here showcase a different side of the Costa Blanca, the quiet, authentic side. Altea’s long coastline offers a number of options from huge swathes of beach to tranquil coves, all carpeted in a mix of sand, shingles and pebbles. The Blue Flag Roda Beach is near the old town, Cap Negret Beach is fantastic for watersports and Playa de l’Olla hosts one the Spain’s biggest fireworks displays during the summer. When you are wandering through Altea’s hilly old town, you can’t miss the beautiful 19th century Virgin of Consuelo Church. On the top of the hill, its cobalt blue dome stands above the gleaming white houses. Its interior is spectacular with gold frescoes and floral motifs. Just outside the church is a pretty plaza with cafes and bars. Most of the dining scene takes place on the waterfront with views over the Mediterranean. Altea’s fiestas include the fireworks of Castell de L’Olla in August and the festivities of Moors and Christians in late September.
A little further north, Moraira is an old-fashioned charmer nestled between mountains and vineyards. Historically a small village, Moraira has retained its charm. Its streets are a delightful mix of narrow, cobbled alleys and modern avenues lined with palm trees and fountains. Local fishing boats supply the popular fish market most mornings and you will have driven passed the lush orange groves and Muscatel grapes on the way in. Moraira enjoys an impressive marina littered with bobbing colourful boats and lined by fine dining fish restaurants and swanky bars. The cobbled streets and market squares boast many cosy restaurants serving delicious cuisine, some of which are Michelin recommended. There are also two nightclubs for the party set. Moraira hosts a colourful Friday market selling fresh local produce, clothes, leather goods, jewellery and ceramics. Moraira boasts 8 km of stunning coastline made up of sandy and rocky beaches and intimate coves. The two main sandy beaches have Blue Flag status and are perfect for family fun. Playa L’Ampolla offers watersports, a summer floating platform with slides and ramps, climbing apparatus for children and volleyball at the rear of the beach. The beach is surrounded by a wooded park, palm trees and a small marsh, home to many birds. Watersports on offer include jet skiing, water skiing, deep sea fishing, diving and fun inflatable rides. The stunning Portet Beach is delightful with a sandy bay and rocky shelves with rock pools. Cala Moraig is a stunning cove between Moraira and Benitatxell. Cala Portitxolet is an idyllic hidden cove with stunning beauty and turquoise water. Golf fans enjoy Club de Golf, Javea, Club de Golf Ifach in Moraira, Altea Golf Club and several others, all enjoying wonderful scenery with the fabulous mountainous backdrop.
Though there is only a small mountain between Altea and Benidorm, the Costa Blanca’s loudest resort, the two towns could not be more different. With neon-lit nightclubs and bars, Brit-style pubs and fast food joints, Benidorm is perfect for party goers.
Valencia is roughly an hour away. This fabulous cosmospolitan town is Spain’s third largest city. Visitors enjoy exploring the atmospheric Old Town which boasts one of Spain’s oldest and largest cathedrals. It is also home to the country’s first bullring and the cutting-edge City of Arts and Sciences complex, home to interactive museums and an outdoor art gallery.
