Located on a large private estate in a stunning rural location, less than 1 kilometre from three of the most beautiful beaches in Asturias, is Casa Encantau. This single-storey, three-bedroom villa in the town of Villahormes, between Llanes and Ribadesella, is the perfect retreat for those who want to enjoy hiking, cycling, or simply gentle walks along the beach.
Casa Encantau is the ideal holiday accommodation for families with kids, couples, and groups of friends who are looking to get away from it all in cosy, stylish surroundings. The villa is modern and luxurious throughout and features a stunning open-plan lounge/kitchen-diner with a beamed ceiling and tiled floor. There are stylish soft furnishings in shades of black, white, grey and silver, with high-end, contemporary light fixtures and artworks. The kitchen area’s lime feature wall works in perfect harmony with the monochrome palette and offsets the shiny black and white kitchen units and chrome appliances. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped and includes a fridge, microwave, oven, coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine. The dining area features a modern round dining table and ample seating for you and your guests.
The villa’s bedrooms are equally stylish, with well-crafted furnishings, contemporary fixtures, and eye-catching pops of colour adding warmth and charm. The main bedroom has a double bed and benefits from ensuite facilities, including a bath and a hydromassage shower. There are a further two double bedrooms that share a bathroom with a shower, and all bedrooms have a flat-screen TV.
Casa Encantau’s impressive grounds are surely the jewel in its crown. The extensive garden is fully fenced for privacy and peace of mind and is cared for throughout the year by a gardener to make sure it is always looking its best! There is a stunning, fully-furnished porch area with a barbecue that offers guests the perfect place for alfresco dining, as well as a terrace and solarium area complete with sun loungers – ideal for soaking up the Mediterranean rays, relaxing with a good book, or enjoying a glass of the local area’s famous cider.  Casa Encantau is situated in the town of Villahormes in Llanes, less than 1km from three of the region’s most beautiful beaches; Gulpiyuri, San Antolin and Torimbia – all of which have something very different to offer!
Playa de Gulpiyuri is the beach without a coastline – in fact, it is situated over 100m from the sea! Often referred to as the ‘world’s smallest beach’, this tiny, picturesque, 40m stretch of golden sand is also often voted Asturias’ best beach. Gulpiyuri (which means ‘water circle’) is a natural monument surrounded by cliffs and featuring crystal clear waters. It is actually a flooded sinkhole whose water levels are entirely dependent on the tide but mostly remain at knee height, making it popular with those who want to paddle rather than swim or who are visiting with young children.
San Antolin is a long beach of white sand that is particularly popular with surfers thanks to its heavy swell, and because the trout-rich River Bedon flows into the sea here, it’s also frequented by fishermen. The beach features ample parking and stunning views and is flanked by a viaduct – a spot popular with bungee jumpers.
Torimbia is one of the most spectacular beaches in Llanes and also one of the quietest. It is primarily a nudist beach but is also popular with non-naturists who come here to enjoy the fine white sands and sparkling clear waters.
Casa Encantau is also close to the popular town of Ribadesella, one of the most charming coastal towns in the region, which offers plenty to see and do, including prehistoric caves to explore, stunning architecture to marvel at, and plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. The vibe here is very laid-back and relaxed, with the focus being on beautiful views, quiet walks and authentic Asturian cuisine. For something quite spectacular, be sure to visit Bufones de Pria, massive geysers that have been formed over the years by the waves creating holes in the cliffs.
