While staying at this fantastic home, you’re guaranteed to spend more time outdoors than you will indoors. Bright flowers, indigenous plants and towering trees are dotted across the garden. Anyone who appreciates nature will find Villa Ajo a stellar holiday home. Glorious green countryside surrounds the villa as well as the glistening turquoise sea.
Chic white day beds placed across the garden provide the perfect places to soak up some sun from. On the home’s veranda, you will discover a relaxing lounge area which is accessible from the indoor living room, table tennis and a lovely hammock where you can simply swing the days away. Once you tire of the veranda, head to your lovely private pool and take in the Mediterranean heat while enjoying the calmness of the water.
Guests can choose to eat dinner in the covered outdoor dining area for up to twelve people. If you want a more casual dining experience, opt for one of the four exterior lounges. Sunrise and sunset will be spectacular from any one of these spots.
Inside, the décor is modern yet cosy with plenty of unique features. The living room possesses a cosy stone chimney and the dining room boasts elegance with house flowers and serene wall art. After dinner beverages can be enjoyed at the home is in house bar complete with a mini kitchen and bar stools. The beach of Cala d’Hort can be found just a few kilometres downhill from the home. With a backdrop of striking cliffs and the island of Es Vedra offshore, this beach presents the perfect photo opportunity.
Although it’s small, Cala d’Hort is usually busy as it is frequented for its magnificent views, glowing turquoise waters and warm golden sand. In summer, many flocks to this beach, so it’s recommended that you get there in the early morning before the crowds to secure a sunbathing spot.
The beach holds a designer swimwear boutique in the high season as well as three beachfront venues serving fresh seafood and traditional paella.
On cooler days, Cala d’Hort is excellent for body surfing as the waves become higher in the winds. Whatever time of year you visit this beach, you’ll be mesmerised by the gorgeous sunset setting over the twinkling bay and Es Vedra.
In Ibiza Town’s marina lies Scuba Ibiza Diving Center, just a 35-minute drive from Villa Ajo. The centre is a brilliant place to learn how to dive or brush up on your existing skills and while you’re on an island with such a large array of gorgeous beaches, why not?
