Holiday Home Rental Description
The gorgeous Finca Benirras enjoys a fabulous rural setting within a fenced plot of 2,000 square metres. The whole lush estate is a massive 17,000 square metres, so guest staying at Finca Benirras enjoy total seclusion and are surrounded by nature and a peaceful environment. The villa sits on the outskirts of the village of San Miguel, enjoying these wonderfully picturesque countryside views. The popular, pretty village of San Miguel in the north of Ibiza is home to an iconic fortress-style Catalan church which dates back to the 13th century. Situated on the top of a hill, the church boasts amazing views as well as delicate religious floral paintings that were hidden for centuries. The church becomes a dramatic backdrop to traditional folk performances on Thursday evenings during the summer months. The village also enjoys some beautiful boutiques, local crafts, bars and restaurants. The village is the gateway to the fishing port of Puerto de San Miguel, where there is a fabulous beach, restaurants and lively bars. Benirras Beach is wonderful. Nearby is the gorgeous village of Sant Juan, otherwise known as Sant Joan de Labritja. The village comes alive in June for the famous Fiesta de Sant Joan. Portinatx is a wonderful family-friendly resort found at the most northerly point of Ibiza. It boasts three lovely beaches and a selection of restaurants and shops. Finca Benirras offers four inviting bedrooms, fabulous living spaces, a modern kitchen and superb outdoor space. It is ideal for families or groups of friends looking to stay on the quieter side of Ibiza though the vibrant entertainment of Ibiza Town and the trendy beach clubs are still perfectly accessible. The finca is built all on one level, albeit there are a few steps here and there. The main living room is bright and airy with off-white sofas, a television, a feature fireplace and the odd colour splash. Double doors open to the terrace, pool and garden. Just along from here is the dining area with its smart table and chairs. The kitchen is partly open to the living area with a sociable bar so that guests can keep the chefs in your group company. The modern kitchen offers excellent appliances and plenty of cupboard space. The master bedroom suite enjoys a comfy double bed dressed with a luxury bedspread and an ensuite bathroom with a bath. There are three twin bedrooms, one of which has the beds pushed together, forming a huge bed. One of the twins enjoys an ensuite bathroom with a three-quarter bath, and the other guests share a well-maintained shower room. There is also a useful laundry room. Though the interiors of Finca Benirras are wonderful, you will almost certainly spend most of your time outside. There are several alfresco dining areas to choose from. One of these is shaded with an outdoor kitchen and barbecue beside it. Another is also shaded with a circular table and chairs. You can relax in an alfresco lounge area beside the pool or on the quality loungers that surround the swimming pool. A table tennis table is provided for some family fun. Besides the outdoor kitchen, there is a handy shower room. The whole terrace is surrounded by lush greenery, making you feel totally away from it all. At night, the coloured lights of the pool offer a wonderful ambience. The garden is stunning, full of greenery and towering palms and trees, an absolute delight. Amongst these, your children will find a fabulous playground with a slide and swings to keep them happy. You will just love this place and its wonderfully warm ambience. You definitely won’t want to leave!Finca Benirras can be found on a huge estate just outside the charming, friendly village of San Miguel in the north of the island. The village is popular with visitors wanting to visit this picturesque parish and its church. Visitors are encouraged to join in with the folk dance and celebrations held beside the church during the summer. There are plenty of rustic eateries serving delicious meat and fish tapas. An excellent bus service runs to Puerto de San Miguel, the popular fishing port resort where you can dine and drink in an excellent array of restaurants and bars. Close to Puerto de San Miguel is Benirras Beach. It is fabulous with loungers, parasols, showers, restaurants, bars, a beach boutique and a hippy market. There are some watersports, including pedalos, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. You reach the beach by driving through the hills and valleys. The beach is partly pebbly with sand and rocks. It offers a great view across the water to an interesting rock formation known as Cap Bernat. The small hippy market takes place every day during the summer apart from Wednesdays and Thursdays, selling clothes, accessories and crafts. You will sometimes hear some informal drumming sessions at sunset, though not on Sundays. The sunsets are amazing. Portinatx sits at the most northerly point of Ibiza, boasting gorgeous beaches and a selection of restaurants and shops. It is surrounded by dense forest and there are lots of lovely coastal trails. The 10km cliff walk from Portinatx to Cala Xarraca is pretty challenging but worth it for the views. You can take some outstanding boat trips from Portinatx, where you will enjoy the coastline’s hidden gems and enjoy a variety of watersports. The sunset cruises are amazing. The golden sandy bay of Cala Xarraca is very popular with locals who know the hidden spots and can reach them by sea. It is much less built up than the beaches of the south and boasts fabulous, crystal-clear turquoise waters. There are natural mud baths formed which are supposed to do wonders for the skin. It is also rocky in places, so excellent for snorkelling. Other lovely coves are Cala Sant Vicent and Benirras. Ibizkus Wines of Santa Gertrudis opened in 2007 and produced excellent red, white and rose wines with local Monastrell, Syrah, Tempranillo, Macabeo, Malvasia Grec, Parellada and Chardonnay grapes. The cellars are situated between the villages of San Rafael and Santa Gertrudis. They offer visits to their cellars and wine tastings every day except Sundays.
Ibiza’s Old Town and the trendy new marina are fabulous nightlife destinations for their swanky bars and world-class restaurants. Ibiza Town is incredibly diverse. It is romantic, historical, intriguing, vibrant and cosmopolitan. The most famous of the nightclubs is Pacha, where clubbers flock to listen to the famous DJ sets and dance the night away. The ancient walled citadel of Dalt Vila is a warren of narrow, cobbled streets brimming with cathedrals, chapels, churches, museums, and flower-adorned balconies. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
