Surrounded by fragrant pine forest and olive groves, it’s a modern take on a traditional villa, built with great eco-credentials – its metre-thick walls keep it cool in the summer and warm in winter. Its heavenly private gardens are simply huge and you can roam them at your leisure or just sun yourself by the private pool.
Inside, the Ibizan farmhouse style continues, with juniper wood ceilings, olive trunk beams and terracotta floors. There’s a pretty living room with a fireplace for winter stays and a big kitchen with everything you’ll need to cook at home. Opening to a spacious dining room and out to the terrace, there’s a lovely, sociable flow. But you may choose to cook outdoors at the summer kitchen, where you can barbecue surrounded by nature.
Big, cool bedrooms and a family-friendly arrangement make it practical as well as beautiful and if you choose to access the additional sleeping between two of the rooms, the home could sleep up to ten.
It’s just a short drive, or a long walk, to the village of Sant Vicente de sa Cala, with its Thai restaurant, or a longer drive to the larger village of Sant Joan de Labritja (San Juan) for a wide choice of restaurants and a weekly ‘hippie market’.
