Villa Darrera is a stunning hilltop villa accommodating up to twelve guests and offering breathtaking ocean views. Situated in Cala Tarida, just minutes from the west coast beach of Cala Moli, this luxurious property pairs modern and stylish living with authentic rustic touches. The interior of this spacious villa features a fresh, neutral decor in shades of white, cream, ivory and taupe, with pops of exotic colour coming through in the high-end furnishings and elegant artworks. Huge windows and double doors throughout ensure that Villa Darrera is flooded with natural light for a relaxing and ethereal ambience.
The villa’s indoor lounge area is spacious and comfortable, with a huge cream-corner sofa that can easily accommodate you and all of your guests in front of the large flat screen TV for a cosy film night. Modern and stylish bookshelves, colourful artwork and a fireplace, complete the homely vibe and make this stunning property a real joy to stay in. The open plan lounge space leads into a well-furnished dining area, with plenty of room for you all to dine in luxury, and a large sliding glass out that leads out onto the fully-furnished sun terrace. Villa Darrera also has a modern, well-equipped kitchen – the perfect space for preparing delicious home-cooked meals and featuring high-end appliances such as an oven, microwave, large American-style fridge-freezer, juicer and coffee machine, as well as cookware, crockery and utensils.
The main floor of Villa Darrera is home to two of the villa’s spacious bedrooms – both doubles with ensuite bath and shower facilities. Two more double bedrooms, also with ensuite bathrooms, can be found on the first floor, one of which has a cot, making it ideal for families with a young baby. The final two double bedrooms are located on a level that is independent of the main house. Both of these rooms, which also feature ensuite facilities, can be accessed directly from the garden, the perfect set-up if more than one family are holidaying together and want to be able to maintain some privacy during their stay. All of the bedrooms at Villa Darrera are incredibly chic, with light neutral decor and luxurious furnishings and all showcasing more of those breathtaking views.
Moving from indoor to outdoor living is easy here at Villa Darrera, with the exterior featuring a large and beautifully designed garden, a chill-out area with six loungers, and an alfresco lounge and dining area. There’s also a barbecue and kitchen space complete with a fridge, making outdoor dining simple and relaxed. Guests here can enjoy each other’s company in the gorgeous Ibiza sunshine, enjoying a family meal or pre-dinner drinks, reading, conversing or simply taking a dip in the villa’s private pool before lounging poolside and taking in the wonderful surroundings.  Villa Darrera is located on a hilltop in Cala Moli, a peaceful and tranquil alternative to some of the livelier resorts in Ibiza. This beautiful sandy bay is quiet and family-friendly, offering great opportunities for bathing and relaxing and for enjoying water sports such as jet-skiing, kayaking and snorkelling. You’ll find good amenities here, including sunbeds and parasols, as well as public toilets and places to buy refreshments. The resort is small, but don’t let that fool you; for what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in looks! Cala Tarida boasts a long, white sandy beach and crystal clear azure waters surrounded by pine-covered hills, and its south-facing location means that it is bathed in sunshine from morning until sunset – incidentally, the sunsets here are some of the most amazing on the island!
You won’t find any nightclubs in this region, but there are plenty of beachside restaurants and bars to enjoy, so you’re sure to find something to suit all tastes, whether you want a quick snack, a three-course meal, or an exclusive fine dining experience. There is also a nearby supermarket and shops right on the beach where you can buy inflatables, snorkelling gear, buckets and spades and beach balls to entertain the kids.
Nearby Cala Moli beach is well worth a visit while you are in the region. Popular as a wedding location, this stunning natural beach is tucked away from the crowds in a beautiful pebbly cove. A haven of seclusion, peace and quiet, you won’t find the usual rows of loungers or parasols here, but there are still some fabulous amenities, including a bar/restaurant with a swimming pool. The sea bed at Cala Moli is excellent for snorkelling, although it’s worth noting that it is quite rocky, so beach shoes are advised.
The nearby village of San Jose is worth a visit during your stay – especially if you are something of a foodie – as it boasts some excellent restaurants, shops and bars, including pizza parlours, cocktail bars and high-end gourmet restaurants. Souvenir hunters won’t be disappointed either; the village has plenty of shops and boutiques selling traditional ceramics, colourful Ibizan fashions, and even toys, and from Easter, to October, the market held in the centre of the village aims to promote the island’s local products and traditions. There are stalls offering organic produce such as homemade bread and pastries, fruits and vegetables, and local artists come here to sell their paintings, sculptures and handicrafts.
