Situated just five minutes from the beach of Punta Prima and offering guests incredible sea views and a luxurious setting, Casa Itaca is the perfect choice for families who are looking for a real home-from-home in the sun. The villa is modern and fresh in both design and decor, featuring a bright and spacious interior that accommodates up to seven guests across four bedrooms.
Casa Itaca’s open-plan lounge/diner provides a wonderful space to chill out with the family while enjoying cosy evenings and intimate indoor meals. The room features a soft and sumptuous grey corner sofa, flatscreen TV and a contemporary-style white dining suite that seats up to six guests. The villa’s kitchen is equally modern, with stylish grey units and wooden countertops, and is well-equipped with plenty of top-quality appliances for catering to yourself and your guests during your stay.
All four bedrooms at Casa Itaca follow the same light, neutral decor as the rest of the villa, featuring a colour palette of white and grey with wooden accents complemented by splashes of zesty lemon, lime and royal blue. The rooms are set over two storeys, with both a double room and a single room located on the ground floor. These rooms feature comfortable beds for a restful night’s sleep and have air-conditioning for your comfort. Guests staying in the ground floor bedrooms share a stylish and modern bathroom with a bathtub for extra convenience. Two more bedrooms are located on the first floor of the villa; two equally spacious and beautifully decorated twin rooms, also complete with air conditioning and sharing a bathroom with shower facilities.
Casa Itaca offers beautiful outdoor spaces to enjoy, including an elevated terrace which is accessible from the lounge area. Overlooking the gardens and offering stunning sea views, this fully-furnished space, complete with a dining suite, lounge furniture and a built-in barbecue grill, is the perfect spot for enjoying alfresco meals, relaxing and taking in the sights. The villa’s well-maintained and enclosed lawn area is a wonderful space for sunbathing and provides a safe space for the kids to play, while the private pool – which is easily accessible by steps and surrounded by luxurious loungers – is certainly going to be a welcome addition on a hot day!  Located on the south coast of the island in Punta Prima, Casa Itaca is just a five-minute walk from all of the amenities you’ll need to enjoy a fabulous sun-drenched holiday, including fantastic restaurants and bars, shops, and – perhaps most importantly – the beach! The long stretch of soft white sand here at Punta Prima is set in a protected bay and enjoys Blue Flag status, making it a wonderful choice for families with children.
The water here is clear, calm and perfect for swimming, and there are lifeguards on duty here for peace of mind. If you want to spend the day relaxing while the kids play and paddle, you can rent sun loungers here, and there are plenty of nearby shops and cafes if you want to grab some quick refreshments. The town of Punta Prima makes a great base for exploring the rest of the island, being just a 25-minute bus journey from the buzzing capital of Mahon and just a short walk or drive to other fabulous beaches and the popular Splash Sur waterpark.
If you want to venture a little further out and explore some other areas of the island, the pretty fishing village of Binibeca can be found just 5 km away. The beach here features good facilities such as an umbrella and sun lounger hire, shaded picnic areas and toilets. There is good access for those with limited mobility, and it’s a popular spot with families with young children. This is largely down to its clean sands and clear, shallow waters, which are ideal for paddling, swimming and snorkelling. For those who want to try some more high-octane watersports, there is a watersports centre nearby, and you’ll also find a good variety of gift and souvenir shops, a supermarket, and bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. Further away – but still well worth a visit if you have the time – is the capital of Mahon, easily accessible from Punta Prima via a regular bus service. Here guests can enjoy strolling around the old town before visiting the famous fish market and gin distillery or taking in the history and architecture at the city cathedral and museum.
