Situated in the prestigious La Zagaleta residential area, this contemporary five-bedroom villa is the ultimate designer space. Stylish décor, cream and grey tones, and contemporary art on the walls make it a wonderfully attractive place. The ground floor master bedroom is a modern, cool space with white walls, Karhs wood flooring and huge glass doors that drench the room in uplifting light. In the morning, slide open the doors, settle back on the chaise longue and enjoy the gentle breeze from the nearby Mediterranean waters or step out into the garden and gaze at the sweeping views of Marbella and La Concha Mountain.
From the bedroom you can move into the fully equipped gym, sauna and steam room but if you don’t fancy breaking a sweat relax instead with a film on the cinema screen. There’s a second en suite bedroom on this floor also featuring a double bed and garden access. A marble staircase sweeps upstairs to the open-plan living area teeming with design brands including Philip Stark, Boffi, Sub Zero, Gagganau Duravit and Dorn Bracht. It’s no wonder really that the villa has been featured in magazines and TV programs.
Two lounges flow seamlessly together and feature comfy sofas, light tones and huge potted plants while floor to ceiling glass doors offer up stunning views of the sea and countryside. There’s also an office area but you may find yourself shelving work commitments and instead soaking up the sun on a lounger on one of the numerous terraces. If you’re in the mood to cook, the sleek, shiny kitchen is fully kitted out with modern appliances and has a beautiful table facing an outdoor dining area overlooking the sea. Back inside there’s also a separate dining room for 10 people. The remaining three en suite bedrooms are all located on this floor and feature double beds and access to private terraces.
The outside area is superb and the garden has a dazzling swimming pool and plenty of lawn space. Sit in any shady spot and feel at peace as you drink in the far-reaching views or absorb the peaceful surroundings from the hot tub. There’s also a chiringuito and barbeque area should you fancy eating poolside. And if you can tear yourself away from all this bliss, Marbella town centre with its trendy restaurants, bars and beaches is only a 10-minute drive away while Puerto Banus is 20-minutes in the car.Villa Cotoleta sits within the exclusive La Zagaleta country, an exclusive gated area offering exceptional living. The surrounding pine and oak forests afford guests privacy while lakes and wildlife add to the tranquillity. There are a number of hiking trails for those who want to explore the area on foot while an equestrian centre allows riders to discover the valleys and groves on horseback.
Other facilities available to residents in La Zagaleta include two pristine 18-hole golf courses and two tennis courts. There’s also a sociable clubhouse where residents can meet for a quiet drink or bite to eat.
Although the location is wonderfully tranquil, the Mediterranean shoreline is just 10-minutes drive away in Marbella town centre. Here you’ll find sandy beaches, beachside promenades and plenty of water sports on offer plus Michelin-starred restaurants, designer boutiques and a dazzling marina full of luxury yachts.
While Marbella offers plenty to do and see, the neighbouring town of Puerto Banus is also worth a visit if only to stroll along its picturesque harbour surrounded by white Andalusian houses. At night, it offers even more distractions with its popular nightclubs, piano bars and beach parties attracting a well-heeled crowd.
Away from the glamour of Puerto Banus, 20-minutes east from the villa is the delightful Cabopino Port and Marina. Known as the ‘Little Gem’ on the Costa del Sol, it’s a charming place to spend an afternoon with its cobbled squares, stylish port and historic watchtower. Dine at one of the open-air restaurants, relax on the sandy beach or charter a yacht for the day and explore the stunning coastline.  
Away from the splendour of Marbella’s shores, lies the pretty village of Benahavis with its narrow streets, historic ruins and river walks. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can try your hand at canyoning through the gorges, waterfalls and plunge pools. After all that activity, be sure to stop at one of the Spanish restaurants.
