This luxurious five-bedroom villa sits in beautiful woodland in the heart of Las Brisas, Nueva Andalucia. Full of character and charm, the property has an impressive country-estate feel. Wooden beams and terracotta flooring contrast strikingly with contemporary artwork and pleasant soft furnishings, and livings areas are cheerful and inviting. The lounge is the perfect spot to unwind with its comfy sofas, huge patio doors and glorious views of La Concha Mountain, and there’s even an open fireplace to keep things cosy on winter nights. Should you need to catch up on work, there’s also an office. The modern kitchen features a small breakfast bar but for more convivial meals step through to the stylish dining room where a table seating six people opens onto the garden.
Three of the bedrooms, one with its own en suite shower room, are also located on this floor and all are furnished in comfortable fashion with heavy drapes, plump cushions and soft throws. A fourth en-suite bedroom (with its own sauna) can be found at the end of the house and is perfect for extra guests or a nanny. The elegant décor continues upstairs to the first floor and the huge master suite. Featuring a pretty en suite bathroom and enormous walk-in wardrobe, there’s plenty of space here for all your things. But the real bonus is the fabulous terrace. You could sit here and gaze at the impressive countryside views for hours.
Back on ground level, the garden area is an equally dreamy space dotted with palm trees, pines and olive groves. Be peaceful with a good book by the swimming pool or relax on a lounger and soak up the magnificent views. With nothing to disturb you except the rustle of the trees you’ll soon be in a relaxed state. Afterwards enjoy a shady lunch and cool drinks in the garden summerhouse. But when the sun dips and a pine-scented breeze wafts across the lawn, stroll to the terrace and dine al fresco under the lanterns. Although the villa is surrounded by peaceful countryside there are plenty of amenities and golf courses nearby. It’s also a 10-minute drive to Puerto Banus with its luxury marina, designer shops, fine restaurants and glamorous nightlife. Las Brisas in the region of Nueva Andalucia is one of the finest residential areas in Marbella. With its sub-tropical greenery and mountain views it’s a tranquil place to live and perfect for those who want to be close to nature. There are plenty of nearby hiking trails and mountain bike routes and also a delightful Turtle lake or ‘Lago de los Tortugas’. In the summer this lake is the perfect spot for a picnic. Children can cool off in the water and afterwards enjoy spotting the resident turtles. From here you can also walk to Lake Istán. This manmade lake is over 8km long and offers plenty of activity from kayaking to canoeing and even aquaskipping. If golf is your passion, you’ll be spoilt for choice here.
The surrounding region is known as “Golf Valley” due to the proximity of some of the finest courses on the Costa del Sol. Just a stone’s throw from the villa you’ll find Real Club de Golf Las Brisas. It’s a challenging course with 18-holes set against stunning mountain views. Other golf courses worth a visit include Los Naranjos and Aloha. While Nueva Andalucia offers plenty of natural beauty and outdoor adventure, for glitz and glamour head 5-minutes south to Puerto Banus. Spend an afternoon browsing the designer shops then head to the harbour for a bite to eat at one of the Michelin-starred restaurants. Enjoy fresh lobster while gazing at the super yachts bopping on the water or simply sit back with a drink and spot the rich and famous who frequent the area.
There are several good beaches either side of the marina and you can enjoy feeling the sand between your toes and swimming in the calm waters. Away from the harbour, there’s an aquarium, multi-screen cinema and five-floor Spanish department store, while on Saturday’s a colourful market is held in the bullring. Here you can pick up some local goods and handcrafted items.
