Of course, the use of these facilities is at a supplement.
Villa Petronila boasts its own fantastic amenities so you might find that you are actually reluctant to leave it! The villa is incredibly well-appointed with a home theatre, gym, hot tub and sauna, glorious gardens and courtyards, a splendid pool and terrace and sumptuous interiors. The villa’s exteriors have a sense of timeless grace with brick terraces, traditional blue and exquisite white tiles and serene water features.
The pool is superb, set in the manicured lawns and surrounded by deluxe loungers. The lush Mediterranean planting is fragrant and stunning and visually superb together with the fantastic sea views from this beachfront location. There are excellent alfresco dining facilities and a wet bar close to the pool.
Inside you will find gallery-worth sculptures and paintings, comforting wood-burning fireplaces, exquisite silk carpets, grandiose mirrors, opulent curtain arrangements, sensational lighting design and magnificent style and design. Modern glitz and glamour blend so well with traditional comfort. The grand entry hall and formal dining room will impress with their Moorish-inspired motifs and generous dimensions. The villa is lavish though there are plenty of cozy, intimate spots. There are numerous lounge areas, all different and eye-catching.
Each of the six bedrooms has a dazzling, rich ensuite bathroom. There are 4 glorious master suites, some of which have lounge areas, walk-in closets, private terraces and fireplaces. All of the bedrooms are superb in their own way. Bedroom 1 has a kingsize bed, fabulous ensuite with a stand-alone shower and bath, a walk-in closet, lounge and fireplace. Bedroom 2 also has a kingsize bed, lounge and a desk. It has access to Bedroom 1’s bathroom.
Bedroom 3 is another master with a kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom with an excellent shower and jetted tub, a fireplace and lounge. Bedroom 4 has a kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom with shower and jetted tub combined and a lounge. Bedroom 5 has twin beds, an ensuite bathroom with shower and bath combined and a private terrace. Bedroom 6 has a kingsize bed, ensuite bathroom with shower and a terrace. In total, the villa has 7 incredible bathrooms. The home cinema and gym are excellent.

Villa Petronila is right on Marbella Beach. In total there are 23 beaches along 27kms of coastline in this area. San Pedro beach is lovely, and Playa Fontanilla is a great family option, just past the Marbella Marina. Naguelese beach is also popular with families. Naguelese has some of Marbella’s most expensive restaurants and hotels and exclusive beach clubs. The beach is exceptionally clean and child-friendly. Pedalo hire and water sports are available. It is also popular with cyclists. Cabopino Beach is used by naturists so probably best avoided by families.
The Marbella Club has many amenities suitable for families and children. The Kids Club hosts a range of activities including arts and crafts, cooking, gardening, aroma workshops, dance and music, supervised swimming, beach activities, creative play and evening sessions. Children can ride ponies at the equestrian centre. Depending on their level, they can master the basics of jumping in one of the rings or join a trail.
The boulevard in San Pedro Alcantara has 3 wonderful playgrounds with swings, wooden horses, padded hills to climb and a zipline. It is very popular for cycling and rollerblading — the attractive architectural bridge curves to match the waves and mountain scenery. Happy Days Costa del Sol at the Marbella end of the boulevard has a 9-hole mini-golf course and an ice-skating rink. Funny Beach Marbella amusement park is very popular. Children can jet ski, fly board, go-kart and jump on bouncy castles. There are also pedal boats, a Wave X ramp and inflatable water rides.
Active children will enjoy the circular Los Cuchillos trail with its spectacular mountainous scenic views. Also lovely is the beautiful Turtle Lake with its lush foliage, swaying trees, water birds, turtles and glorious views. Children can swim in the Lake in the summer, and it is a great place for a picnic.
