Set over one single storey, Casa Nostrum is the perfect choice for those holidaying with young children, older guests, or those with limited mobility, and all with amenities such as shops, restaurants and the beach within easy walking distance. The villa’s interior has a light, fresh white decor, with a living area that features cosy colourful sofas and well-crafted furniture, as well as a flatscreen satellite TV – the ideal space for relaxation and entertainment.
The villa’s kitchen and dining area is incredibly well-equipped, with ample room for food preparation and good-quality appliances, including an oven and electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and dishwasher, as well as plenty of cookware, crockery and utensils. It’s a bright, well-lit space that lends itself perfectly to rustling up hearty breakfasts to set you up for the day.
Casa Nostrum has three spacious bedrooms – a double and two twins – all of which are decorated in the same clean, neutral decor, with soft furnishings and feature walls offering refreshing pops of colour. The villa also features two stylish bathrooms, well-stocked with amenities such as bathing products and fresh towels. With WIFi throughout, and extras such as air conditioning, a washing machine, an iron and ironing board, a cot and a highchair, this delightful villa is complete with everything you’ll need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The villa’s grounds are equally family-friendly, with a spacious secured garden with a well-maintained lawn area, trees providing some welcome shade, and a fully-furnished dining terrace and barbecue area – perfect for enjoying alfresco meals with the whole family. The jewel in Casa Nostrum’s crown is its private pool, where guests can enjoy a cooling dip before reclining on one of the surrounding sun loungers, drink or book in hand, to soak up the glorious atmosphere.Casa Nostrum is located in a quiet residential area in the pretty village of Son Bou. The resort features a fabulous sandy beach – one of the longest stretches on the island – with elevated timber walkways over the sand dunes that provide easy access for pushchairs, prams and wheelchairs. The beach can get busy during the summer months. This popularity is primarily due to family-friendly amenities such as plenty of lifeguards, sun loungers and parasol hire, and the availability of water sports activities. You’ll find Club san Jaime near the beach, which is open from late morning until early evening, featuring some exciting water slides that the kids (and the adults!) will enjoy. Excellence Luxury Villas recommends spending an hour or so here on a hot day; it’s great fun and reasonably priced.
In the town centre of Son Bou, you’ll find a shopping centre with several good supermarkets, ideal for self-catering, and plenty of places to buy trinkets and souvenirs. ATMs, a good taxi rank, and an excellent bus service are available if you want to travel a little further afield to Santo Tomas, which is also accessible along the coastal path if you fancy the walk. A slightly quieter resort than Son Bou, this beautiful village is popular with families with young children. It is a nature-lovers paradise with gorgeous remote beaches, countryside walks and cycling tracks.
 Suppose you’d rather stay put in Son Bou. In that case, there is a good selection of bars and restaurants that cater to all tastes and budgets. For example, Casa Andres, which specialises in international cuisine, Mediterranean dishes and seafood, or Es Forn de Torre Soli Nou, where you can sample delicious Spanish meat dishes. Buddha Cafe bar is the place to go for late-night musical entertainment, and cocktail bars such as La Roca and Mai-Tai are also popular with tourists. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy Kit-Kat bar, a sports bar where you can catch all the latest English football games, and several welcoming beach bars along the coast – perfect places for sipping a fruity drink while taking in the glorious sunsets.
