Situated just a few minutes from Binibeca Beach is Casa Salabre, a charming three-bedroom villa accommodating up to six guests. Set over one single storey, making it a great choice for families with young children, older guests or those with limited mobility, this pretty white villa features everything you’ll need to enjoy a relaxing holiday in the sun.
The villa features classic white decor throughout, with accents of black, warm wood and splashes of turquoise for a stylish, contemporary feel. The open-plan living area is bright and airy, with double French doors that lead out onto the terrace and flood the interior with lots of light. The space incorporates a cosy lounge for chilling out with loved ones, complete with comfortable seating, as well as room for intimate indoor meals at the contemporary-style white dining table. The adjoining kitchen is fully-equipped, featuring stylish appliances that include an integrated oven and hob, coffee machine, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. There’s also a handy breakfast bar – a  great spot for sitting and enjoying a morning cuppa before the rest of the family are awake.
Guests enjoying a stay at Casa Salabre can choose from three elegantly decorated bedrooms, all with comfortable beds that promise a restful night’s sleep. The first double bedroom benefits from the addition of an ensuite bathroom with shower facilities, while the second double bedroom and the twin room (which is perfect for the kids!) share a modern bathroom with a bathtub. Both of the double rooms offer guests incredible sea views and are air-conditioned for your comfort.
Stepping outside onto the terrace, guests will discover a charming covered decking area, complete with chairs, a dining suite and a barbecue. It’s a wonderful spot for enjoying a quiet sunset, partaking in after-dinner drinks, or eating alfresco with the whole family. Stepping down onto the pool terrace, you’ll find sun loungers for laying back and taking in your surroundings, and of course, the private pool, which is easily accessible via steps leading down into the water. After a busy day at the beach and soaking up the sun, this welcome addition is perfect for spending a cooling afternoon swimming or splashing about with the kids – pure bliss!Casa Salabre enjoys a peaceful and idyllic location just fifteen minutes from Binibeca Beach. This Blue Flag Award-winning stretch of fine white sand features good facilities such as umbrella and sun lounger hire, shaded picnic areas and toilets. There is good access for those with limited mobility, and it’s a popular spot with families with young children. This is largely down to its clean sands and clear, shallow waters, which are ideal for paddling, swimming and snorkelling. For those who want to try some more high-octane watersports, there is a watersports centre nearby, and you’ll also find a good variety of gift and souvenir shops, a supermarket, and bars and restaurants within easy walking distance.
The town of Sant Lluis is just 2 km from the villa and is a great base for exploring the island, being equidistant from many of the most popular attractions, including the popular south coast beaches. The rugged coastline is home to some of Menorca’s best coves and is famous for its turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. Popular activities along the coast include scuba diving, kayaking and windsurfing, and the nearby watersports centre at S’Algar offers everything you could need in the way of lessons and equipment.
The town itself is incredibly pedestrian-friendly, and the pretty streets are wonderful for enjoying quiet strolls and taking in the sights. The main street features quaint shops, bakeries, patisseries, ice cream cafes, bars and restaurants – so you won’t be short of places to visit for meals, snacks and refreshments. The village’s main attractions are the Sant Lluis church, its windmills, and the Entologico Molide Dalt museum, which is housed in one of the historic mills.
From Sant Lluis, there is an hourly bus service to the island’s capital, Mahon, which offers a livelier, more bustling atmosphere. Here you’ll find the famous Xoriguer Gin distillery, where you can enjoy free samples of gin, liqueurs and other spirits before deciding what to buy – so be sure to stop in and purchase something delicious to enjoy back at the villa!
Another popular draw for visitors to Mahon is the bi-weekly market where fruit, vegetables, meat and fish are sold in the cloisters of the hilltop church overlooking the harbour.
