El Pinar is a stunning, modern Mediterranean-style villa close to the beach in the Son Bou region of Menorca. It is perfect for larger families and friendship groups. Accommodating up to eight guests across four twin rooms, this luxurious property offers show-stopping ocean views, beautiful outdoor spaces, and a bright, spacious interior bursting with fabulous amenities and home-from-home comforts. El Pinar features a fresh and light decor that is beautifully accented with splashes of colour in the artwork and furnishings for a wonderfully warm and homely feel. There is a cosy living area complete with sumptuous seating, high-quality furniture and a flatscreen satellite TV – an ideal spot for entertainment and relaxation. There is also an incredibly well-equipped dining and kitchen space that includes everything you and your guests could need to self-cater during your stay.
Amenities include an oven and electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and dishwasher, as well as plenty of cookware, crockery and utensils. There’s a washing machine – ideal for those who want to pack a little lighter for their trip, saving some room in their luggage for those all-important souvenirs! – as well as an iron and ironing board, and a cot and highchair to make things a little easier for those travelling with very young children.
The first of the villa’s four spacious twin rooms is on the ground floor. Offering guests direct access to the outdoor pool area and featuring a stylish and modern ensuite bathroom and light and contemporary decor. A further three twin rooms (along with a second bathroom) can be found on the first floor, all offering stunning views from the balcony and an equally elegant and fresh vibe that promises a restful and relaxing night’s sleep.
The outdoor spaces at El Pinar are no less impressive, with guests enjoying a secure and enclosed garden area with alfresco seating  – the perfect spot for enjoying pre-dinner drinks or reminiscing about your day of sightseeing. This stunning villa also benefits from a large private pool which is easily accessible by Roman steps, making it ideal for families with younger children, as well as plenty of luxurious sun loungers.El Pinar is situated in a prime location just metres from the ocean and the much-celebrated Son Bou beach – one of the longest stretches on the island. This easily accessible beach can get busy during the summer months. This popularity is primarily due to family-friendly amenities such as plenty of lifeguards, sun loungers and parasol hire, and the availability of water sports activities. You’ll find Club san Jaime near the beach, which is open from late morning until early evening and features some exciting water slides that the kids (and the adults!) will enjoy. Excellence Luxury Villas recommends spending an hour or so here on a hot day. It’s great fun and very reasonably priced.
In the town centre of Son Bou, you’ll find a shopping centre with several good supermarkets, ideal for self-catering, as well as plenty of places to buy trinkets and souvenirs. ATMs, a good taxi rank, and an excellent bus service are available if you want to travel a little further afield to Santo Tomas, which is also accessible along the coastal path if you fancy the walk. A slightly quieter resort than Son Bou, this beautiful village is popular with families with young children. It is a nature-lovers paradise with gorgeous remote beaches, countryside walks and cycling tracks.
 If you’d rather stay put in Son Bou, there is a good selection of bars and restaurants that cater to all tastes and budgets. For example, Casa Andres, which specialises in international cuisine as well as Mediterranean dishes and seafood, or Es Forn de Torre Soli Nou, where you can sample delicious Spanish meat dishes. Buddha Cafe bar is the place to go for late-night musical entertainment, and cocktail bars such as La Roca and Mai-Tai are also popular with tourists. Sports enthusiasts will enjoy Kit-Kat bar, a sports bar where you can catch all the latest English football games, and several welcoming beach bars along the coast – perfect places for sipping a fruity drink while taking in the glorious sunsets.
