Oozing charm from every pore and set among 100 hectares, this stunning villa offers guests a luxurious and stylish home-from-home in which to enjoy a family holiday you’ll never forget.
The interior of Finca Calascoves perfectly pairs rustic and modern styles with a light, neutral decor that features shades of cream, white and brown with elements of stone and light wood. The spacious yet cosy lounge space provides a haven of relaxation, with soft, comfortable sofas and a TV and DVD player for quiet nights in – or for keeping the kids entertained indoors while the adults get ready for the day ahead. The villa comes complete with two kitchens – perfect for larger family groups, and both feature all of the amenities and appliances you’ll need during your stay. The main kitchen here is the perfect space for gathering together for family meals, incorporating a beautifully-crafted wooden dining table that seats up to eight guests. A second, smaller (but no less well-equipped!) kitchen can be found in a separate part of the house, along with two of the villa’s eleven bedrooms and a bathroom. This unique set-up makes this villa a great choice for several families who are staying together but still want to maintain an element of privacy and personal space.
Finca Calascoves can accommodate everyone, from couples to children, thanks to its six double bedrooms (two featuring a queen-size bed), four twin rooms, and a single room. Each bedroom is equally elegant in design and decor, favouring a light, neutral colour palette and with soft, comfortable beds for a relaxing and restful night’s sleep.
The villa’s outdoor spaces are no less impressive, with a spectacular covered porch area which is furnished with a large dining table and chairs for enjoying alfresco meals while taking in the incredible countryside views. The garden offers guests several furnished areas in which to relax and unwind – perfect spots for enjoying a morning cuppa or a pre-dinner drink, and there’s a pool terrace with a swimming pool and loungers for the ultimate in villa-holiday luxury.Finca Calascoves is located just ten minutes from Cala’n Porter, one of Menorca’s most popular family resorts. The Blue Flag awarded beach here is considered one of, if not the best, resort beaches on the island, and is especially good for families with children thanks to its perfect sands, clear waters and great amenities. Here you’ll find fantastic access for those with limited mobility, as well as toilets and good car parking, and for those who want a little side-serving of excitement with their sun, sea and sand, there’s a good range of watersports available to enjoy.
The coastline here is pristine, surrounded on three sides by beautiful countryside, and you won’t be disturbed by any aircraft noise here. The resort was one of the first on the island and is a real treat for nature lovers, featuring mature flower gardens and offering plenty of beautiful walking trails. Everything you’ll need to enjoy your Spanish villa holiday is within easy reach in Cala’n Porter, with the resort featuring three good-sized supermarkets, as well as shops selling souvenirs, arts and crafts and beachwear.
The capital of Mahon is just a short bus drive away and offers a livelier, more bustling atmosphere. Here you’ll find the famous Xoriguer Gin distillery, where you can enjoy free samples of gin, liqueurs and other spirits before deciding what to buy – so be sure to stop in and purchase something delicious to enjoy back at the villa! Another popular draw for visitors to Mahon is the bi-weekly market where fruit, vegetables, meat and fish are sold in the cloisters of the hilltop church overlooking the harbour. The harbour here is one of the largest in the world and is lined with top-quality eateries serving up delicious local cuisine, as well as offering buzzing nightlife – so it’s well worth a visit during your trip.
History buffs will enjoy a visit to the Mahon Museums, which is built on the site of a former monastery and houses a large collection of prehistoric artefacts, including objects left by the Neolithic pastoralists who settled in the area in 4000 BC and materials from the Talayotic period.
