The villa interior is bright and roomy, with a light neutral colour palette that incorporates shades of white, cream and taupe, with accents of rich wood. The beautiful ground floor lounge space offers a cosy space in which to relax with the whole family, featuring sumptuous sofas and armchairs and pretty decorative touches. A separate dining room with a contemporary-style wooden dining table that seats up to eight guests is a wonderful spot for enjoying indoor dining and offers access to the outdoor terrace. The villa’s fully-equipped kitchen can also be found on this floor and is filled with modern appliances designed to cater to your every culinary whim during your stay. You’ll find additional breakfast bar seating here – perfect for enjoying a morning cuppa or for keeping the designated cook company with a glass of wine while they rustle up a feast!
Villa Ramacor’s bedrooms are also located on the ground floor, and all feature the same light, modern decor that is enjoyed in the other interior areas of the villa. The double bedroom with a king-size bed is a beautiful haven of rest and relaxation and provides direct access to the garden, as well as coming complete with an ensuite bathroom with both shower and bathtub facilities. The other three bedrooms are spacious twins, one with an ensuite bathroom with a shower and the other two sharing a bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. All bedrooms have air-conditioning for your comfort, which can be switched on between 8 pm and 9 am.
The first floor of Villa Ramacor provides guests with a wonderful second indoor dining and terrace, complete with incredible sea views – one of the most beautiful vistas on the island. The lower ground floor of the villa has a garage space as well as another bathroom.
The amazing ocean views can also be enjoyed from the villa’s stunning gardens, which feature soft lawns for sunbathing and provide guests with privileged access to the bathing platforms. For alfresco dining, there is a fully-furnished covered porch area, a great spot for relaxing with friends and family while enjoying a glass of local wine and soaking up the glorious atmosphere. Just a few steps away is Villa Ramacor’s pool terrace, featuring luxurious sun loungers as well as a large private swimming pool that is accessible via stainless steel ladder with handrails – this gorgeous property really does have it all! Cala en Brut is a stunning deep turquoise cove, notable for its calm waters and lack of sandy beach. The cove is surrounded by rocky cliffs and sunbathing platforms on both sides, with the water accessed by ladders – think of it as a big, natural swimming pool! This area is perfect for accomplished swimmers and divers who will enjoy jumping from the platforms and those who enjoy snorkelling. Even if you don’t swim, the cove is an absolute must for a photo opportunity – it’s simply stunning!
If you want to enjoy a day out on the sands, the beaches of Cala en Forcat and Cales Piques are just a short walk away, and the former capital of Ciutadella is just a ten-minute drive from the villa and has been referred to as Menorca’s ‘prettiest city’. Ciutadella is a great base for day trips to the local beaches and other highlights of the island and is famous for its historic harbour, street art culture and gentle buzzing nightlife. The pastel-hued streets make a refreshing change from the typical white-washed towns of the region and are dotted with little shops and delis where you can pick up some local produce to enjoy back at the villa. Excellence Luxury Villas recommends heading down to the marina during your stay, where you’ll find a variety of cafes and restaurants serving up delicious fare to suit all tastes and budgets, as well as offering spectacular views.
From the harbour, you’ll be able to book boat trips to explore more of the coastline – including a full-day trip lunch and a unique swimming and snorkelling experience on a 10-metre wooden sailboat. It’s worth knowing that highly-rated and affordable trips are incredibly popular, so it’s worth booking early so that you don’t miss out!
Lovers of history and architecture are sure to want to visit the city’s 14th-century cathedral during their stay, especially as it’s considered an absolute must-see for anyone visiting the city. Built atop an old mosque, the cathedral is one of the most beautiful on the island, bursting with light, decorative elements, and beautiful stained glass windows that create colourful patterns on the stone when the sun streams through. Guests should note that the entrance fee includes access to the cloisters – so be sure to hold on to your ticket once you’ve entered the cathedral.
