Stay in style at the sleek and chic Villa Bora, nestled in beautiful Kalamar Bay, near the town of Kalkan on Turkey’s Turquoise Coast. This three-storey new built villa has three bedrooms and four bathrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to six guests, perfect for a family or friends’ holiday. Located in the hills of Kalamar the villa has views of the Taurus Mountains and glimpses of the Mediterranean Sea from its bedroom balconies. The villa has its own private off-road parking space, and comes with complimentary Wi-Fi and air-conditioning throughout. Highlights of Villa Bora include its very own spa with sauna and steam room, a full-size pool table, a fitness area, private outdoor pool, and a cinema to play your favourite films. This modern villa has been furnished with contemporary fixtures and fittings, and decorated throughout with a calm, soothing neutral palette of cool whites, soft beiges and steel greys.
Enter the villa at ground floor level via the private parking space, to reveal an open plan living space, flooded with natural light from the floor to ceiling sliding glass doors. The seating area has a large comfy L-shaped white sofa with silver grey scatter cushions, a matching iron grey armchair, and metal coffee table, facing a flat screen satellite television. The fully equipped black and steel kitchen, with American style family-sized fridge, island hob, integrated microwave and oven, has everything you need to cater for a happy holiday. The adjacent dining area has a smart wood table with six soft grey upholstered chairs, is the perfect place for some impressive indoor entertaining. There is also a handy guest cloakroom to complete the ground floor. The black marble open staircase will take you to the first floor, where there are two double bedrooms. The first bedroom is tastefully decorated in crisp white and soft beiges, with wood furnishings. There is a large inset double bed, fitted wardrobes, a mirrored dressing table with pouffe, a built-in jacuzzi bath, and a separate soft seating spot, with a view to the balcony, where there are wicker chairs with partial sea views. The bedroom has an ensuite marble bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom is a twin room, with two single beds (that could be pushed together to form a large double). This bedroom also has fitted wardrobes, dressing table, jacuzzi bath, ensuite marble bathroom, and a furnished balcony with part mountain, part sea views. The third bedroom is on the lower ground floor, with a large inset double bed, fitted wardrobes, dressing table, seating area, and ensuite marble bathroom.
Take the stairs from the ground floor to the lower ground floor, where you will find a world of fun and fitness. Starting with the spa zone, there is a full-size Finnish style wooden sauna, and the most beautiful marble hammam steam room to sweat your worries away. Start the day with a run on the treadmill in the fitness space, or get on your bike and prep your pins for walking the steep hills of Kalkan. Relax with a game of pool and pot some balls on the full-size table, before taking your seat in your own cinema with three tiered sofas, sit back and watch the latest blockbuster with your family and friends. On the ground floor access the paved terrace through the living area, and jump right into your own private ladder entry swimming pool, with built-in shallow end, perfect for the kids or a wallow. The pool is surrounded by gun metal grey sun loungers and shady parasols to keep you cool in the midday sun. Chill in the soft seating area or single seater swing chair, enjoy a morning coffee as you plan the day, or sip sundowners as the sun sets. Dine alfresco under the stars at the pergola covered six-seater dining area with its own kitchen and built-in barbeque.Villa Bora is located in the beautiful bay of Kalamar, west of above the charming harbour town of Kalkan. Nestled in the hillside with sweeping panoramic Taurus Mountain views, the villa is situated on the Turkish Turquoise Coast, the jewel of the Mediterranean Sea. Kalkan is 125 kilometres from Dalaman Airport, a scenic one-and-a-half-hour journey through the Turkish countryside and Taurus mountains. Originally a Greek enclave called Kalamaki, Ottoman and Hellenic influences can be found in the winding colourful cobbled streets of the old town, full of traditional white washed houses and home to a plethora of restaurants, cafes and bars, and souvenir shops full of goodies you’ll want to take home. From the villa you can walk to the local shops for provisions, or a short drive will take you into the town of Kalkan, where you can find supermarkets, banks, and a local Thursday market, that can supply all the provisions for a happy holiday. The town of Kalkan reputedly has almost one hundred and fifty restaurants, cafes, and bars, you’ll be spoilt for choice deciding on whether to eat traditional Turkish food, or dine on gourmet delights in international establishments. Kalkan is well known for some of the best and most exclusive beach clubs, with bathing platforms, fabulous restaurants, and some with full size swimming pools. Within walking distance of Villa Bora is the well established Kalamar and Kulube beach cubs. Take a trip down to the harbour, where you will find complimentary water taxis to ferry you to a beach club of your choice. Located all around the coastline, from Kalkan Beach Park in Kisla to Kulube at Kalamar Bay, there’s a beach club for everyone. Have some fun in the sun at family-friendly resorts offering water sports and swimming pools, unwind at exclusive luxury destinations where you will be waited on hand and foot, wine and dine in their on-site sea view restaurants, or lie back and relax whilst enjoying alfresco holistic spa treatments. Travel further afield to the stunning Kaputas Beach set in a natural gorge, or take a trip to Patara, where you will find twenty kilometres of unspoilt golden sands and a protected area for the hatching sea water Caretta Kapotas turtles. For those with itchy feet Villa Bora is situated on the Lycian Way walking trail. which cuts through Kalkan. Follow in the footsteps of thousands of years of history, as you trek the trail taking you through major archaeological sites, local villages, dramatic coastlines, and the areas’ flora and fauna. Take a short journey to the town of Kinik, which has the best local Friday market, and where you can step back in time to the Lycian city of Xanthos. Follow the D400 to Fethiye, and discover the historical sites of Patara, Letoon, Tlos, and Pinara, where you can see the ancient ruins, amphitheatres and temples with Lycian, Greek, Roman, and Byzantine influences. The harbour town of Fethiye is also full of ancient sites worth seeing, as well as a foodie-heaven fish market, and home to some seriously good designer labels and fabulous jewellery shopping. Whilst the nearer town of Kas is just twenty-five kilometres away in the other direction, and well worth the journey alone along one of the world’s most stunning and dramatic coastlines. Pass the new Kas Marina, full of super stylish yachts to the original harbour and working town, with its cobbled streets full of Ottoman architecture and overhanging balconies festooned with pastel coloured bougainvillaea, Barter for unique handmade and antique goods in its many shops, and make memories dining in one of the traditional restaurants serving authentic Turkish cuisine with mesmerising sea views. And if you’re feeling terribly intercontinental, hop on the daily twenty-minute ferry from Kas to the Greek island of Meis, where you can explore the magical Blue Cave and dine by candlelight at the lapping water’s edge.
