Villa Havuc Turkey
Holiday Home Rental Description
Enjoy a family stay in Villa Havuc, located on the outskirts of the cosmopolitan town of Kas on the Turquoise Coast of Turkey’s Mediterranean Sea. This ultra-modern, detached, two-storey villa is home to three ensuite double bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to six guests, ideal for a fabulous family holiday or friend’s sharing vacation. Set on large grounds, Villa Havuc has an impressive garden, a private pool, and a large separate kid’s pool. The villa has on-road parking, complimentary Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. Villa Havuc has been beautifully designed to a high specification inside and out, constructed out of white stone, with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the property with natural light. The interiors have been furnished with contemporary pieces and decorated using a soft neutral palette, with Mediterranean blue highlights. The gardens and grounds are well maintained, with a dedicated children’s play area, green grass lawns, and mature trees and shrubs.
Enter the villa at ground floor level, where you will find your holiday home of open plan living, with floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto the pool terrace and gardens. There are two separate seating areas, the first one has two large blue sofas and a contrasting black and white houndstooth check armchair, worked around a wooden coffee table, facing a flat-screen television. The second seating area is a more relaxed L-shaped cream comfy sofa facing a flat-screen tv, ideal for the kids to watch their favourite programmes. There is a smart wooden dining table with six white chairs, perfect for some impressive indoor entertaining. The adjacent black and white kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cater for your holiday, including a family-sized fridge freezer, cooker and hob, washing machine, and the obligatory morning coffee maker. The kitchen has an island preparation area, a built-in breakfast bar, and some seriously funky yellow bar stools. A guest cloakroom completes the ground floor. Take the stairs to the first floor, where there are three ensuite bedrooms. The spacious master bedroom has a king-size bed, white bedroom furniture, a built-in jacuzzi in the corner, and a large ensuite marble bathroom with a walk-in shower, modern hand basins and WC. The bedroom has floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open onto a furnished balcony that overlooks the pool and garden. The other two bedrooms are twin rooms with two single beds, dressed in crisp white and sea blues; both have ensuite marble shower rooms and furnished balconies with garden views.
You’ll spend most of your day on the pool terrace and relaxing in the garden. Villa Havuc benefits from having a super large L-shaped ladder entry swimming pool, with a shallow area where two mesh grey sun loungers are sited; imagine dangling your feet in the water whilst reading this year’s best seller. There is also a substantial, separate kid’s pool, with easy entry steps and shallow water. Sun loungers and shady parasols surround the pool, and if you’re feeling lazy, lounge in the swing seat just made for one. Sit back and relax in the baby blue deckchairs, and take in the sun as you enjoy a morning coffee or evening cocktail. The garden is charming, with green grass lawns populated with local shrubs and trees and a children’s mini-play area to keep them occupied all day. As the sun sets, cook the local delicacies on the traditional built-in brick barbecue and serve it on the adjacent picnic-style wooden table; dine alfresco as the stars shine.Villa Havuc is in the most stunning location, built into the hills of the Taurus mountains, above the coast road of the cosmopolitan town of Kas, situated on the aptly named Turquoise Coast, the jewel of the Mediterranean Sea.
The villa is 155 kilometres from Dalaman International Airport, a scenic mountain and coast road journey that takes approximately two hours by car. The nearest town is quaint Kas, just fifteen minutes away, with its Ottoman houses hanging with pastel coloured bougainvillaea, winding streets, busy working harbour, and lots of inviting restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as a lively live music scene in the evening. The town draws an international crowd and has some excellent shopping, whether for hand-crafted souvenirs, fabulous holiday fashion, delicious foods from organic grocers and delis, or the must-see Friday market selling locally grown fresh fruit and veg and traditional Turkish household goods.
Take the car or walk down to the nearest beach from the villa, which is a couple of kilometres away. As you drive into Kas, there is an impressive marina, home to many luxury yachts cruising the Med. Around the Kas coastline, there are many exclusive beach clubs where you can enjoy a day sunbathing on wooden platforms, diving into the sea from jetties, swimming and snorkelling, and sampling the local fare in their cafes and restaurants.
No stay in Kas is complete with a boat trip from the harbour, all aboard for a day at sea, snorkelling and swimming, discovering secret coves and beautiful bays, not to mention the homemade mixed meze lunch and fresh fish served for lunch. If you want to go further afield, ask the captain to take you to Kekova, where you can view a sunken city through a glass-bottomed boat, climb ancient Roman ruins, and try the famous homemade ice cream for an afternoon treat. For those interested in history, Kas is full of surprises; just a walk around town will uncover amphitheatres, tombs, and archaeological sites from Lycian, Greek, Byzantine and Roman times. A boat trip to Aperlai allows you to swim above age-old ruins and get off the boat to wander through Roman remains.
The coast road to Kalkan is well worth a trip, with breathtaking views of the stunning and dramatic coastline that dates back to the time of Homer. On the way, stop at Kaputas beach, formed from a natural gorge; there are only two hundred steps down to a beautiful beach with sunbeds and parasols, cafes and loos, and the most welcoming warm sea in which to swim.
If nature is your thing, the area around Kas has it all; follow the famous Lycian Way, and trek the trail to discover the area’s natural flora and fauna. The local dolmus will take you from the Kas Otogar to the must-see Patara beach, twenty kilometres of soft golden sand, and home to the famous Caretta Caretta turtles. It is well worth staying until the early evening, watching the sunset over the horizon from the ever-changing sand dunes; it’s the stuff memories are made of. And if you’ve really got itchy feet and a desire to travel, you can cross continents and go to Greece from Kas harbour; simply hop aboard the daily twenty-minute ferry to Meis and enjoy some Greek delicacies by the seashore. At Excellence Luxury Villas we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
