Rental Description

Villa Nasrin is a seriously cool property, situated under the hot Turkish sun. This luxury villa is located overlooking the fashionable resort of Kalkan on the Mediterranean Turquoise Coast. The villa has two spacious ensuite double bedrooms, and can comfortably accommodate up to four guests, ideal for a small family, or two couples sharing. This unique property is perfectly positioned to enjoy breath taking sea views, with sweeping vistas across the town, harbour, and surrounding islands of Kalkan. Villa Nasrin, is built out of local stone, and classic white washed walls, and the clever architectural design has brought the outdoors in, with feature paving indoors. The villa comes with private parking, and all the mod cons including complimentary air conditioning throughout, and flat screen televisions preloaded with streaming channels. A pebble garden populated with indigenous shrubs surrounds the villa and terrace, where there is your own private sea view swimming pool. The interiors are uber stylish, furnished with contemporary pieces, with hand carved wooden doors, and decorated in a palette of crisp clean white and contrasting regal purple and sea green turquoise. Floor to ceiling sliding doors open onto terraces and flood the villa with natural light and cooling breezes, whilst the ambiance is one of laid-back, elegant sophistication.
Enter the villa, where you will be greeted by a stunning light and airy, sea view living space, with sliding doors that open onto the pool terrace. The seating area has a cream L-shaped sofa, a blue rocking chair, coffee and side tables, all facing a brick-built wood-burning fireplace, and a flat screen television, preloaded with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney +, and Premier League Football channels. Take the marble steps up the mezzanine level, where there is huge black and white kitchen, fully equipped with everything you will need to cater for your holiday. The cute picnic bench style dining set with blue stools, makes for some easy informal entertaining. There are two beautifully-appointed spacious bedrooms, both with double beds, side tables, fitted wardrobes, dressing tables, and ensuite marble bathrooms with walk-in showers. One of the bedrooms benefits from sea views. Villa Nasrin really comes into its own when it comes to the terrace. The swimming pool is long enough to do a few lengths before breakfast, and has a raised seating sea view shallow end, perfect for enjoying a cocktail whilst keeping cool. Lie back and sunbathe on the turquoise sun loungers, then sit in the strategically positioned swing seats and admire the views. Relax on the L-shaped pergola covered soft seating area, and catch up on this month’s Vogue. Take a walk through the pebble garden to the white seating set and enjoy a morning coffee catch up with a vista. As dusk falls meet for sun downers, then dine alfresco from local delicacies freshly prepared in the outside kitchen, and grilled on the barbie. Set up the outside projector screen to watch your favourite movie stars under the twinkling Turkish sky, and raise a toast to the most memorable holiday.  Villa Nasrin is nestled in the hillside of exclusive Kordere, in the quaint harbour town of Kalkan, situated on the Turquoise Coast, the jewel of the Mediterranean Sea. The town of Kalkan is one hundred and twenty five kilometres from Dalaman Airport, a scenic one and a half hour journey through the Turkish countryside and Taurus mountains. Originally a Greek enclave called Kalamaki, Ottoman and Hellenic influences can be found in the winding streets of the old town, full of traditional white houses, festooned with colourful bougainvillea, and home to a plethora of restaurants, cafes and bars, and souvenir shops full of handcrafted artefacts you’ll want to take home. After dark, the town of Kalkan comes alive, enjoy a cocktail at one of the bars in Old Street, then dine in one of the many rooftop restaurants, with views of the harbour at sunset and the stars come out to shine. From the villa it is a quick walk to a local minimart, and a short drive into Kalkan where you can find banks, supermarkets, and a local Sunday and Thursday market, that can provide all the provisions for a happy holiday.
Take a trip into town and take a complimentary water taxi to one of the many fabulous beach clubs around the coastline, some with swimming pools and spas, all with on-site sun loungers, parasols, and restaurants. No stay in Kalkan is complete without a boat trip from the harbour, whether it’s a shared one with family and friends or you charter your own gulet, a day out at sea with your favourite captain and crew, is one to treasure. All aboard for a day of swimming and snorkelling in beautiful bays, enjoy a meal of local homecooked meze, take afternoon tea, and then sail back to harbour cocktail in hand to watch the sunset. For the beach bunnies, Kalkan has its own pebble beach with easy access into the sea, and a cosy cafe. Travel further afield to the stunning Kaputas Beach set in a natural gorge, or take a trip to Patara, where you will find twenty kilometres of unspoilt golden sands and a protected area for the hatching turtles.
For those with itchy feet the Lycian Way walking trail cuts through Kalkan. Follow in the footsteps of thousands of years of history, as you trek the trail taking you through major archaeological sites, local villages, dramatic coastlines, and the areas’ flora and fauna. Take a short journey to the town of Kinik, where you can step back in time to the Lycian city of Xanthos. Follow the main road to Fethiye, and discover the historical sites of Patara, Letoon, Tlos, and Pinara, where you can see the ancient ruins, amphitheatres and temples with Lycian, Greek, Roman, and Byzantine influences. The harbour town of Fethiye is also full of ancient sites worth seeing, as well as a foodie-heaven fish market, and home to some seriously good designer label and fabulous jewellery shopping. Whilst the nearer town of Kas is just twenty-five kilometres away, and worth a visit for the journey alone, along one of the world’s most stunning and dramatic coastlines. Walk through the harbour to the cobbled streets full of Ottoman architecture, barter for unique handmade and antique goods in its many shops, and make memories dining in one of the traditional restaurants serving authentic Turkish cuisine. If you’re feeling intercontinental hop on the twenty-minute ferry from Kas to the Greek island of Meis, where you can explore the mysterious Blue Cave and dine by the water’s edge.
