Stay in style at the super swish Villa Pasaeli, located in the laid back town of Bitez on the beautiful Bodrum Peninsula on Turkey’s Mediterranean Sea. This luxury two-storey detached villa has four ensuite bedrooms, and can comfortably accommodate up to six guests, ideal for a family or friend’s get together. The villa has on street parking, and includes complimentary Wi-Fi and air-conditioning throughout. Villa Pasaeli is surrounded by lush green lawns populated with mature trees, and a paved terrace which is home to a private swimming pool with retractable roof, superb for the cooler evenings. This villa can be rented all year round, and for the chillier months has the benefit of underfloor heating, a fireplace, and the pool which can become enclosed. Villa Pasaeli has been designed with the most meticulous attention to detail. The exterior is built of classic white stone with floor to ceiling glass windows flooding the property with natural light, and giving it a spacious airy feel. The interiors are furnished with the best quality modern pieces, decorated in a neutral palette of shades of grey and crisp clean white, whilst contemporary art and lighting adorn the walls.
Enter the villa at ground floor level where you will find an impressive light and airy living space. A dove grey painted hallway leads to a spacious lounge area with a large L-shaped light grey comfy sofa, and two dark grey easy chairs with matching pouffe, arranged around a white coffee table, a fireplace, and a flat screen smart satellite television. The adjacent white six seater wooden dining table is ideal for some evening entertaining. There is a large separate all white kitchen, fully equipped with everything you will need to cater for your holiday, including an American style family size fridge freezer, an oven and hob, and a dishwasher and microwave. A balcony leads off from the kitchen for some alfresco dining. The first of the four bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, with one single bed, side table and flat screen television, and an ensuite marble walk-in shower room. There is a separate bathroom which is home to a washing machine and dryer. Take the stairs to the first floor where there are three bedrooms all with flat screen televisions and ensuite marble bathrooms with walk-in showers. The master bedroom has a double bed, a separate seating area with television, and an ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. A further bedroom also has a double bed, and a seating area with flat screen television, whilst the fourth bedroom has a single bed and armchair. A small office with two desks and electrical points completes the first floor.
Access the paved terrace from the ground floor through the floor to ceiling picture windows of the living space. The stunning dolphin mosaiced 10.5m x 4.5m Roman step-entry heated pool runs the length of the villa, and with its retractable roof, hey presto! there’s an indoor pool for the cooler evenings and chillier months. The swimming pool is surrounded by six contemporary style sun loungers and towels are provided. Relax with a morning coffee or evening cocktail in the soft seating area, before dinner at the alfresco six seater white dining table. Rustle up some of the local delicacies on the portable barbeque and serve!Villa Paeseli is situated in the quiet laid-back resort of Bitez, eight kilometres west of the international tourist town of Bodrum, where the Greek Aegean meets the Turkish Mediterranean Sea. The villa is a, fifty minute drive, from Bodrum International Airport, get there by taxi or the reliable and frequent local public transport. The villa is located just two hundred metres from the nearest sandy beach, and the citrus-scented resort of Bitez itself, with its many cafes, bars and restaurants, and local shops and supermarkets with everything you will need to cater for a happy holiday.
The town plays host to a weekly market every Thursday, selling home-grown fruit and vegetables, freshly caught fish, locally pressed olive oils, honey from the farmer hives, and souvenirs to remind you of your stay, it’s all very bazaar. Every Sunday there is a flea market, where you can find Turkish bric-a-brac to take home, and make time to visit the old Greek orthodox church with its famous dolphin mosaic. Start your holiday with a scrub and clean at the nearby Bitez Hamman, the best way to prepare for a super tan. The bay of Bitez has a beautiful half moon sandy beach with a mountain backdrop, pre-book sun loungers and shady brollies, sample the water sports and wind surfing, relax in a hand-woven hammock, and refresh in one of the many cafes and bars.
Some seriously good beach clubs populate the peninsula, the oldest is Sarnic, where you can bathe, swim and surf, or you may fancy the buzzing Buddha Bar and Beach Club with its international live music concept and evening entertainment. For some adult beach club vibes try Xuma in Yalikavak with its Chill Out Festival and no young children policy. Push the boat out and hire a yacht with your own captain for a lazy day at sea, sun bathing, swimming, and snorkelling, or set sail on a shared one departing every morning from the harbour.
Further afield just twenty minutes’ drive away is the town of original fishing village of Yalikavak, which now offers a range of family fun activities, an impressive marina, where you can marvel at some seriously amazing super yachts, and spend all your lira in the marble shopping mall to rival Milan, selling all of your favourite designers and brands, with your own personal shopper as an optional extra.
Go east and in twenty minutes you’re in the cosmopolitan town of Bodrum, with the impressive St Peter’s fortress, an Underwater Archaeology Museum, and a Maritime Museum, not to mention the great shopping, and fabulous food. If you love the nightlife, go to Gumbet, the next village along, with lots of live music, busy bars, and dancing until dawn. Adventure further afield to see some real Turkish delights. Well worth the journey is a trip to seep yourself in history at the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ephesus, and the amazing library that is still standing. Lose yourself in the cotton clouds of the incredible geological magic of Pammukale, and bathe in the life-enhancing Cleopatra’s bath.
