In the pretty hamlet of Tregurrian, just above Watergate Bay on the rugged north Cornwall coast, this home is just as bold inside as its bright blue exterior suggests. Fully modernised a couple of years ago, and with a new covered hot tub area added to the garden last year, it’s a big home perfect for a large group or an extended family. Spacious and stylish, you’ll be hanging out on the comfy velvet sofas of the lounge, sipping your coffee at the breakfast bar in the sleek, high-spec kitchen, and sitting around for dinner at the huge dining table seating up to fourteen. With something to keep everyone entertained even on rainy days, there’s a games room with table tennis and games console, as well as a library of books and children’s toys to choose from. If the sun has got his hat on, head out for lunch on the large terrace or play a few games in the well-tended gardens. From here it’s just a short walk or a minute’s drive down to the beach at Watergate Bay, or head up the coast to popular Padstow in just twenty-five minutes by car, or down the coast to nearby Newquay. In the evening you can choose between a film screening in your trendy cinema room or a soak in the hot tub as the sun goes down.

*Be aware there are no easy footpaths down to Watergate Bay from here – you have to walk along the road and back up a steep hill – but it’s just a minute or so in the car
