Both bedrooms can be accessed via the lounge and there is a modern en-suite bathroom with each bedroom. Each of the bathrooms is fitted with a walk-in rain shower and the terrace can also be accessed from both bathrooms.
With a superb location overlooking two of the island’s most picturesque beaches, the resort also offers guests private sun loungers on Ffryes Beach, as well as exclusive access to the Tamarind Hills Beach Club, boasting its own bar, restaurant, and large salt-water swimming pool. The suite is ideally situated for you to make the most of all that heavenly Antigua has to offer, from the Caribbean Sea right on your doorstep to some spectacular island adventures. Antigua is a small Caribbean Island, famous for its serene bays, lush green headlands, coral reefs and blue lagoons – not to mention the fact that it boasts 365 beaches, one for every day of the year! Here, families and couples alike will have endless opportunities to explore the wonders of the ocean whilst soaking up the sunshine.
The nation of Antigua and Barbuda is made up of two sister islands and several smaller islets, all situated in the heart of the Caribbean. The fantastic location of Tamarind Hills on Antigua’s south-west coastline means you will have access to the fine white sands of two idyllic beaches, Ffryes and Darkwood. Surrounded by dense green hilltops, Ffryes Beach is a popular spot with tourists and locals alike. Here, you can spend the day snorkeling in the turquoise waters, before indulging in an excellent dinner at one of the restaurants on the marina at nearby Jolly Harbour.
Blissful beaches are only the beginning of all that this vibrant, friendly island has to offer. Only a twenty-minute drive away, the Antiguan capital of St. John’s is easily accessible. Here you will find the white twin towers of St. John’s Cathedral, as well as the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, providing a fascinating look at the island’s heritage and history. Visit the harbour at St. John’s over the weekend and chances are you will find yourself wandering through a lively local market.
Slightly further afield, Nelson’s Dockyard National Park is one of five national parks in Antigua. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this eighteenth-century British naval dockyard is an area of great historical significance on the island, as well as a popular venue for maritime events and activities. For those who wish to experience the magic for themselves, there are plenty of sailing excursions and water-based activities available.
There are plenty of fantastic trekking trails around the island, taking in sandy beaches, rainforests and dreamlike coastal views. For a challenging hike, put on your hiking shoes and visit Mount Obama, the highest peak in Antigua. From the summit, enjoy the panoramic views, before descending to Cades Bay for a delightfully refreshing dip in the ocean.
Shirley Heights is another popular destination. A restored military lookout, this is a spot known for its bewitching views and community feel. With a popular street party happening every Sunday afternoon, visitors are welcome to enjoy the music of live Caribbean steel drum bands, taste some of the local food and rum punch and take in the breathtaking sights as the sun begins to go down on the beautiful island of Antigua. At Excellence Luxury Villas, we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
