Part of the Tamarind Hills boutique collection of villas and suites, the villa features a private infinity-edged pool and boasts exclusive access to the resort’s fantastic facilities.
Thoughtfully designed with the laidback Caribbean lifestyle in mind, Villa Eunice’s understated décor echoes the natural colours and textures of the surrounding island. There is a peaceful terrace where the private swimming pool is located. Here, you can spend your mornings dipping in and out of the water or relaxing on one of the villa’s comfortable sun loungers with a good book. Whatever way you decide to begin your day, the views of the turquoise Caribbean Sea will be sure to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
Just a few steps away, the amazing views continue within the villa’s bright and airy interior. The open plan living space features an ultra-comfortable seating area with a corner sofa and a flatscreen TV, the ideal spot for everyone to take a break from the sun after a day spent exploring the wonders of the island. This space flows harmoniously into a spacious, modern kitchen, where you will be equipped with everything you need to prepare a memorable meal together at home.
The kitchen features a dining area with ample room for everyone to gather around the table. Should you prefer to dine al fresco, the living space also leads to a gorgeous outdoor dining area with more breathtaking views of the water. This is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail as the sun begins to set.
Upstairs, the villa’s effortless décor continues within each of the light-filled bedrooms. Both double bedrooms feature access to a private balcony with seating, where you can sip your morning cup of coffee and listen to the soothing sound of the waves lapping gently below. With wood-paneled ceilings and four poster king-size beds, each bedroom also features an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in rain shower, with one bathroom also providing guests with a luxurious bathtub. Air conditioning is available throughout Villa Eunice, with ceiling fans also featured in both bedrooms, ensuring that you are well rested during the beautiful Caribbean nights.
The location of the Tamarind Hills resort is truly spectacular, with villas nestled between two of Antigua’s most dazzling beaches: Darkwood Beach and Ffryes Beach. Visitors will be struck time and time again by the pristine waters and silken white sands of the coastline, with its picturesque backdrop of lush green hills. Villa Eunice’s superb location on the southwest coast of Antigua perfectly encapsulates all of the stunning natural beauty the island has to offer. With serene bays, verdant headlands, coral reefs and blue lagoons – not to mention the island’s 365 beaches, one for every day of the year – families and couples alike will be enchanted by the wonders of this Caribbean paradise.
The nation of Antigua and Barbuda is made up of its two namesake sister islands, as well as several smaller islets. Antigua is the nation’s largest island at just 281 km². The fact that you can easily travel across Antigua by car makes it the perfect place for a relaxed Caribbean getaway. However, with the silky white sands of Ffryes Beach and Darkwood Beach located just below the villa, you may find yourself tempted to stay close to the Tamarind Hills resort and its fabulous facilities, including a restaurant and a saltwater swimming pool. There are also plenty of excellent restaurants to be found nearby Jolly Harbour Marina, just a five-minute drive away.
For those who might wish to discover more of the island, idyllic beaches are only the beginning of what vibrant, friendly Antigua has to offer. Only a twenty-minute drive away, the Antiguan capital of St. John’s is easily accessible. This colourful Caribbean port is home to an impressive cathedral and lively markets by the harbour every weekend. For a chance to learn more about the nation’s fascinating history, you can also visit the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, located in the old colonial Court House.
Another popular destination for locals and visitors alike is Nelson’s Dockyard National Park, one of five national parks in Antigua. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, this eighteenth-century British naval dockyard is an area of great historical significance on the island, as well as a famous venue for maritime events and activities. Nelson’s Dockyard offers visitors plenty of fantastic trekking trails, with breathtaking sights along the way.
Consider visiting Shirley Heights, a restored military lookout with panoramic views, located within Nelson’s Dockyard. Shirley Heights is also the home of a well-established Sunday evening party, where visitors are invited to come and take part in the festivities. Listen to live Caribbean steel drum bands, try some of the local food and rum punch and take in another amazing sunset vista to remember.
Devil’s Bridge is another national park that is well worth a visit. The bridge itself is a natural arch composed of limestone rock, formed over the course of many thousands of years. With geysers and blowholes surrounding the bridge as the waves of the Atlantic crash against the rocks, this is a bracing adventure that will leave you in awe of the serene beaches you have just left behind. At Excellence Luxury Villas, we pride ourselves on going that little bit further for our guests.
