Around 15 minutes’ drive south of the popular resort of Budva, it’s also not too far from other regional favourites such as the Lovcen National Park and the Bay of Kotor.
Casa Lalicic offers attractive, modern accommodation set over two floors. On the ground floor, you will find its open-plan living and dining area, providing a peaceful place to relax or enjoy dinner together. Alongside it, a modern kitchen has all the amenities you could require, including a microwave, coffee machine and dishwasher. A family bathroom can also be found on the same floor.
Upstairs, you have the two Double bedrooms, which are impressively equipped. In one, you have a King-size bed, a living area and en-suite bathroom, as well as a balcony. The second has a Double bed, and also features a living area and en-suite.
Your private accommodation also comes with the use of a range of excellent facilities at the resort. There are large swimming pools, a tennis court and gym, as well as an Italian restaurant. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols for those really lazy days, while the children can enjoy a game of table tennis.
All this is just a short drive from the beach, around 2km away, and a similar distance from the beautiful town of Petrovac. Montenegro is a small country but it certainly punches above its weight when it comes to sightseeing. There are so many stunning areas to explore, you are sure to be surprised if you’re a first-time visitor.
Montenegro’s No.1 tourist destination is the resort of Budva. While some of it may not be everyone’s cup of tea – it has developed a lot for tourism, with lots of hotels and nightlife – Budva does have a charming Old Town of its own. Much of it had to be rebuilt following a catastrophic earthquake in 1979, but it’s well worth a visit to see the little squares and narrow streets alive with street entertainment and pavement cafés.
Budva is also known for its beaches, which are the reason many visit the town – they are probably the busiest in the country. With its mammoth slides and a huge range of rides, the town’s water-park, Aquapark Budva, is also popular, and the biggest of its kind in the Balkans.
The idyllic Bay of Kotor is a jewel in the Montenegrin crown, lined with pretty little harbours and backed by mountains, it’s a wonderful place to walk, drive or cycle around. The town of Tivat is Montenegro’s Monaco, with a yacht-filled marina drawing in the beautiful people. Close to Tivat, the pretty village of Gornja Lastva enjoys a wonderful vantage point overlooking the bay, and hosts an open-air jazz concert each summer.
Lipa Cave and the magnificent Lovcen National Park are among good reasons to head away from the coast, the latter stretching up to the fringes of Kotor. On its eastern side is Montenegro’s former capital, Cetinje, with royal palaces and pretty parks.
