If you’re not out on the greens, challenge one of your companions to an outdoor game of pool on the covered terrace, or to a sing-off at the karaoke machine. Interiors are a quirky mix of rustic Americana with the odd cow-hide chair and longhorn skull. There’s a lot of living space here, with a more formal sitting room and a large lounge, as well as a choice of indoor eating areas. But what we really love is the home’s outside space. Cool off from the desert heat in the private pool, bask on the sun loungers or read a book in the poolside cabana. Later on take a stroll around the huge, one-acre gardens, then fire up the barbecue for dinner. Come dusk, it’s out to the hot tub for soaks under the stars or chat over hot chocolate out by the fire pit. Here you’re only a fifteen-minute drive from Downtown Scottsdale.
