If proximity to Zadar’s beaches is what you’re after, this modern pad is pretty much perfect. In one direction, you’ll find the marina and the pebbly Plaža Uskok Zadar a seven-minute walk away. In the other, about five minutes on foot, lies Plaža Borik and the sandy beach. Also within walking distance? A bevvy of eateries along the promenade and options for watersports and boat rentals. Zadar’s lively and historic city centre is 3km away, but with a parking spot at home, you won’t need to worry about public transport or arranging a taxi.
And speaking of home, when you’re not out exploring, you can relax in style back at your ground-floor apartment. After a long day in the sun, the air conditioning is a welcome relief, as is the squishy sofa where you can rest your feet with a drink (we suggest Gemišt – half sparkling water, half white wine). A small courtyard makes an excellent spot to unwind alfresco, and with sliding doors opening onto the dining area, you can still enjoy the fresh air even while digging into a Croatian feast. With two cosy bedrooms and sleek design, a chill night at home doesn’t sound too bad.
