And when it’s time to discover other corners of the city, hop on the Métro République, a mere six minutes on foot. Back at home, though small, we think this apartment is expertly formed and would ideally suit a couple looking for a practical base from which to discover central Paris. The designers have kept the space pared-back and contemporary, letting the light stream in through the charming small atrium room that overlooks an inner courtyard typical of a Haussmannian building. The compact, modern kitchen has all you need to rustle up some breakfast and brew a coffee. And although it lacks an oven, we suspect you’ll be eating out a lot. You’re in one of the culinary capitals of the world, after all – it would be rude not to.
