We must admit, we were amazed at how a predominantly grey interior could feel as warm, bright and inviting as it did – but then South Pigalle is full of surprises. Thanks to its many windows and the cleverly designed space, this apartment is a tranquil retreat from the bustling district outside – where Pigalle meets Montmartre. The exceptionally comfortable bed and cosy sofa mean you can feel a bit less guilty about staying in with a movie instead of out and about. Plus, it has air conditioning which is a rare bonus on those warm summer nights. The kitchenette is compact, and while it’s not designed for cooking grand meals, it’s well-equipped to whip up breakfast or a simple meal. However, with a selection of enticing patisseries and restaurants nearby we wouldn’t be surprised if you decided to eat out most of the time. Enjoy a cake-filled brunch at La Bossue, lunch at bustling bistro Bouillon, and dine in friendly, Firenze-inspired surroundings at Pink Mamma – all within a five-minute walk of your little So-Pi apartment.
