Located on a quiet hilltop farm surrounded by Mediterranean trees in west Corfu, there’s a suitably rustic flavour to this home. The stone walls and wooden ceiling beams are traditional in style, as are the wood-burning fireplace in the living room and the vintage furnishings.
However, that’s not to say you’ll be without modern amenities during a stay here. You only have to look at the large swimming pool in the garden to see one of the more recent additions to the address. Along with the surrounding pergolas, stone barbecue and hammock, you’ll find it a breeze to embrace the alfresco lifestyle.
You’ll find similarly contemporary touches inside. In the master bathroom, for instance, sits a Jacuzzi bathtub and there’s also a hydro massage shower cabin in one of the others. The kitchen, too, looks typical of the region, but the sleek surfaces and quality wood fittings give away its youth.
The surrounding terrain is much appreciated by both mountain bikers and hikers, while there’s also a golf course just 4 kilometres away. Some of the island’s best beaches sit a similar distance away, including Ermones and Stelari.
