Sometimes a home leaves us a little lost for words. This stunning piece of contemporary architecture is only outdone by its unbelievable views across the Ionian Sea – all the way to the islands of Paxi and Corfu. Built on a hillside, everything about this place has been designed to make the most of that view. With huge, double-height window walls to the open living space and a master bedroom that feels as though you could step out across the sea, it’s the place for you if you can’t get enough of the colour blue.
The outside space is smart and simple, with a covered dining area that you’ll want to use for every meal of the day and a comfy lounging area where glass balustrades mean nothing distracts from the view. But best of all is that just a step or two from your giant sliding doors is one of the most magical infinity pools we’ve seen. Floating in the water here, which wraps around one side of the villa, it’s hard to tell where the pool ends and the sea begins, and where the sea’s shade of blue meets the sky’s. This has to be one of the best views in the world.
From here it’s just a two-minute drive to Mikri Ammos beach and five minutes to Sivota, where you’ll find a picture-perfect harbour lined with restaurants and shops – all backed by the area’s rugged, green mountain range.
