Step inside, and you’ll feel instantly at ease thanks to the soothing colour scheme and natural wood details, creating a sense of calm. Once you’ve dropped our bags, you might like to flop down on the comfy sofa with a good book, or head outside to explore the sprawling grounds. There are plenty of loungers where you can catch some rays, before taking a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. And, if you follow the path at the end of the garden, you’ll arrive at the seashore – this hidden cove is a great spot to chill out to the sound of the waves.
You can drive into the centre of Elounda in ten minutes, to stroll through the charming streets and dine on regional dishes at the local tavernas. The larger resort of Agios Nikolaos is sixteen kilometres away, and from there you can visit sandy beaches and learn about the area’s links to Greek mythology. And, should you fancy a day trip, hop on a boat to the neighbouring island of Spinalonga to learn all about its rich history.
