Inside the natural stone walls, your home will be cool even in the height of summer, and there’s a fireplace to warm it up out of season. A well-thought-out space with everything you could need for a comfortable stay, it’s perfect for a family – there’s even a bedroom aimed at children. And we love the master bedroom, with its large private balcony. By day you can swim in the clever pool – fitted with hydromassage points and a swim-against-the-stream setting. And in the evenings, barbecue and eat together on the terrace until the stars come out.
From your home, there’s a carefully built path leading all the way down to give guests direct access to the sea and the ‘Priest’s Cave’. The host has thought of everything, so if you feel like grabbing a kayak for the afternoon, heading off for a snorkel or even stargazing for the evening, they’ll be happy to lend you the equipment. Visit the nearby Navagio Beach, famous for its shipwreck, or borrow bikes and explore the hills.
The host here has done an incredible job, building several individual homes that seem to merge with their natural environment. Set in the most peaceful part of the island, they are a real discovery and you’ll be welcomed with a basket of wine and produce that has been grown right on-site.
