It’s not hard to see how the Greek myths of sea gods and Mount Olympus came into being at this beautiful spot on the Liakas Peninsular. Bordered by the slopes of Mount Ainos and with uninterrupted views out over the ocean towards Zakynthos, this home’s gardens are the stuff of legends. The bright green lawns stop directly at the sea, with a kidney-shaped pool for cooling off on hot days and a table-tennis table for afternoon exertion. A white outhouse hides a large built-in barbecue, which must boast some of the best cooking views on the island. Inside, the home is characterised by muted tones and paved floors. A large, open-plan living space is flooded with light from the sliding doors, with an L-shaped sofa for movie nights. Bedrooms bounce from orange and fuchsia to pastel blue, and each has their own en suite for a sense of privacy. Wake up early and head out to the top balcony or the wicker patio furniture to begin your day with the most incredible golden sunrise.
