Rent Apartment Khaki Rose Quartz Santa Maria Novella
Holiday Home Rental Description
If you’re looking for an incredible home with a heavenly view, then this apartment will answer your prayers. We love the vistas of the Medici Chapels – we actually felt like a member of the Medici family walking around this extraordinary, historic abode. It was once the Florence residence of Pope Clement VIII, and the lavish rooms are bejewelled with magnificent eighteenth-century frescoes that he commissioned by Vincenzo Meucci, Tommaso Gherardini, and Lorenzo del Moro. You’re practically staying in a unique museum, but with five-star comforts of course.
Relax in the dining room, which arguably houses this home’s most striking fresco, and enjoy the Prosecco and biscuits provided by your wonderful hosts, Giovanni and Valeria. We can imagine amazing dinner parties here. There’s a chef’s kitchen with a pasta machine for creating some tagliolini with butter and truffles, as well as a bread maker, so you can fill the place with the gorgeous aroma of fresh bread. All around this home, you’ll find fabulous antiques acquired by Giovanni’s parents, who were antique dealers. This home is truly a once in a lifetime experience.
Most of the city’s best-loved sights are within a fifteen-minute walk. The Basilica of San Lorenzo and the Medici Chapels are a one-minute stroll, while the Duomo is under five minutes. The Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery and Piazza della Signoria are around 900 metres away as well. After all that sightseeing, unwind in the spa just around the corner from this apartment. It’s hard to imagine a better location or home in Florence.
