Rent Apartment Languid Muttonwood Santa Croce
Holiday Home Rental Description
Grandeur meets modern sumptuousness in this stunning penthouse apartment, located just a stone’s throw from Piazza Massimo D’Azeglio. From the moment you walk into the large open-plan living space, you’ll be immediately enchanted by the home’s slanted beamed ceilings, cool contemporary furnishings and wall-length shelves packed with books. Open the glass sliding doors here to step out onto a private balcony where a barbecue invites alfresco feasts around the shaded table. Back inside, you’ll find a cleverly concealed kitchen area equipped with everything you need to cook up an Italian feast, and a swish espresso maker to get each morning off on the right foot.
Speaking of mornings, you’ll love waking up in the three beautifully curated bedrooms. We’re particularly fond of the main bedroom with its canopied bed and window-side piano, while the bathrooms boast luxurious rainfall showers and a pink-tiled tub that just begs for long soaks, a glass of bubbly in hand.
At sunset, there’s no better place to be than the private rooftop terrace with views over the Synagogue and Jewish Museum of Florence’s blue dome, the Basilica of Santa Croce and the famous Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore.
When it comes to sightseeing, make a beeline for the Florence Duomo (a fourteen-minute walk) or stroll across the romantic Ponte Vecchio, twenty minutes away on foot. You’re also a ten-minute walk from the Accademia Gallery – which houses Michelangelo’s statue of David – and a fourteen-minute stroll from the Riccardi Medici Palace.
