Boasting a separate guest suite that sleeps four, there’s heaps of space to all spill out here. But when the sun is shining, it’s outside where we think you’ll be spending most of your time.
Beat the heat in the sublime swimming pool fringed with fruit trees. Come together for lazy Mediterranean feasts and barbecues beneath the shady pergola. Or explore the home’s grounds – the views over the earthy red terrain sprinkled with olive groves are sublime.
When it’s time to soak up the local culture, you’ll be off to a flying start in Alberobello (fifteen-minute drive) to explore its 1500 beehive-shaped Trulli houses sprinkled with bars and shops. Or, for a taste of the sea, head to the ancient harbour town of Monopoli (a twenty-minute drive). Amid its narrow streets tracing down to a delightful port, you’ll discover some of the best seafood restaurants around.
