Inside you will find a traditional-style kitchen finished with old-world wood panelling and timelessly elegant marble countertops that leads to grand living areas as well as cosy nooks where everyone can come together to eat, drink, and debrief following a day of sunbathing, swimming in the private pool, or exploring the nearby town of Dicomano. Should you feel like venturing further afield and giving your cultural, historical, or gastronomical muscles a real work out, then the inimitable Renaissance city of Florence is a mere 30 kilometres away.
As dusk settles and the hills around you become bathed in that famous golden Tuscan twilight, the sound of cicadas hangs heavy in the air. After freshening up in one of the five luxurious bathrooms – each of which has been thoughtfully finished with the aim of leaving you feeling calm, refreshed, and pampered – step out into the evening and onto one of the great terrace areas. Here, you can enjoy a meal consisting of the best produce that the area has to offer (and that really is saying something), a glass of wine from the region’s prestigious vineyards, and each other’s company as you come to realise what la Dolce Vita really means.
