Rent Apartment Mikado Lillipilli Italy
Holiday Home Rental Description
Dreamt up by architect Luciano Pia, this unique apartment building was borne out of a desire to bring the forest back into the urban environment. The exterior is covered in 150 trees, while there are water features at ground level and gardens up on the roof. Even the steel beams have been designed to look as if they’re roots. It doesn’t just look incredible, either — the internal heating and cooling systems are powered by geothermal energy and rainwater is collected to keep the greenery looking healthy. Nestled inside this structure is a studio apartment that doesn’t try to compete with its exterior and instead opts for a pared-back decor. The addition of a large terrace with seating means you have your own personal treehouse on warm days. If this address has given you the taste for all things natural, you can walk to Valentino Park in ten minutes where you’ll find a recreation of a medieval village and plenty of cafes and restaurants along the banks of the River Po.
