Situated on a large wine-producing estate, surrounded by vineyard-coated hills and gnarled olive groves, this traditional farmhouse is a charming holiday home, perfect for families or friends looking to spend some time in the glorious Tuscan countryside. The interiors are rustic and comforting – we loved the sink-in sofa, neutral colour scheme and exposed stone walls. Recline on the chaise lounge with a paperback plucked from the shelves as the appointed mixologist of your group shakes up cocktails at the bar.
Bowl outside into the garden with your beverage and find a spot to unwind – we recommend by the edge of the pool or in the private hot tub. When it’s time for lunch, call upon a private chef to spoil you with a range of delicious Italian dishes. If you’re keen to explore, the surrounding Vorno Valley offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor pursuits – set off along a walking trail or arrange a horse riding tour. Culture buffs should jump in the car and take the seventeen-minute drive to Lucca, while those who enjoy the sand and surf will be delighted to know it’s less than a thirty-minute drive to the Versilia coast.
