Rent Apartment Vivid Kukui Umbria
Holiday Home Rental Description
If walls could talk, this historic house would have a tale or two to tell. While the farmhouse was built in 1732, the oldest part of the home dates back to 1300, when it was a lookout tower. It belonged to the Curia – part of the Catholic Church – until the ‘70s, since when it has been carefully renovated with salvaged materials in order to maintain its period charm. It’s a delight to wander round, and you’ll find beamed ceilings, open fireplaces and traditional furniture inside. The gardens are a heavenly tumble of fruit trees, roses, lavender and oleander, with a glistening saltwater pool as the jewel in its crown. Spend your days luxuriating in the sun on one of the poolside loungers, playing ping pong in the portico, or explore the extensive grounds. For a day trip, the medieval city of Todi is less than ten-minutes drive away. Evenings are made for dinner on the terrace, with the song of the cicadas as your soundtrack.
