It’s out of the city centre (though easily reachable on public transport), and the lack of tourists in the immediate area makes a huge difference to the atmosphere of the neighbourhood. On top of the calming colour scheme, there are also two balconies, so you can get a breath of fresh air (although there will be some noise from Via Appia Nuova).
