The other attraction of staying here is its ability to show off a different side of Rome. This is where real people live, rather than the hotel-heavy city centre, and while it’s quieter, that peace is quite welcome. And when you do need to get to town, there’s a nearby metro station that can take you there.

*Given its position, the interior doesn’t get much natural light
*Unfortunately, there’s no dishwasher
*The second bedroom is underwhelming – it feels quite bare, and there are no bedside tables (although being able to turn the single into a double is useful)
*Two people can sleep on a sofa bed in the living room
