With its lifestyles of the rich and famous, there’s not much that can surprise us when it comes to the Hamptons – that is until we saw the basement games room with enough space for a game of hockey. Apart from this, there’s a movie room and also plenty of toys, so young members of the family have guaranteed entertainment. Fun and games aside, this home has some serious design credentials. Vaulted ceilings create an open feeling in the already large living area, and polished wooden floors lead to a gourmet kitchen with marble worktops. As we would expect in this sought-after corner of the world, there are added bursts of luxury at every turn: breakfast can be prepared in the separate kitchenette, while outside two BBQs are on hand to rustle up a feast. But what really makes this a stellar holiday choice is the simple details; the fire pit for roasting marshmallows as the sun sets and lazy days by the pool.
