This stunning contemporary jewel lets you feel the Atlantic breeze even indoors. The huge open-plan living area is centred around a courtyard two storeys high and defined by massive windows. This is far from the only stand-out architectural feature, though — we couldn’t help but be won over by the potted flowers descending from the ceiling, the collection of colourful rugs dotted about and the 600-pound sycamore dining table that looks like it came straight from the forest. The location is equally as impressive, too. After you’ve had your morning coffee, it’s only a five-minute amble down the road to reach a glorious six-mile stretch of sandy beach, where the hours will fly by whether you’re surfing, tanning or building sandcastles. Come dinner time, swing by Center Street and discover funky restaurants serving seafood, pizza, tacos, and Hawaiian fare. If you’d rather dine in, grab some fresh catch from the famed Crosby’s and share a homemade meal around the aforementioned table or better yet, outside under the rustling oak trees in your garden. Later, you can doze off on the beanie bags with chilled beer and a movie. Take our advice, though, and spend one evening on the beach watching the achingly beautiful sunsets.
